Guest guest
Amy, Have you considered leaky gut and dysbiosis instead of gastritis? Candida is a natural yeast that lives in our intestines....many things...diet, antibiotics, NSAIDS allow it to overgrow....dysbiosis. Candida's waste products tax the adrenals and liver. You may need digestive enzymes to assist digestion. Do you have trouble with dairy yet? Candida mutates and grows roots that grow into the lining of the intestine....leaky gut.. The waste products from candida change the " climate " of the intestines A naturopath is trained in functional medicine...regular doctors are allopaths and not trained in how the body works...theirs is the disease model. www.naturopathic.org to find one near you Joan candidiasis From: veganmomof6@... My doctor even mentioned it to me. My hormones are out of balance. I was just started on bio-identical progesterone, I am taking a compounded physiological dose of 98% T4 to 2% T3. It has been helping and is the protocol that Dr. Ken Blanchard recommends in his book: What your doctor may not tell you about hypothyroidism. I am also getting treated for adrenal fatigue and taking a low dose of Cortef. I do have trouble sleeping on occasion. I always get so bloated and have been diagnosed with gastritis. I have reflux, irritable bowel, I can not eat wheat because it seems to make my symptoms worse. I have been tested for celiac 5 times 3 blood tests and 2 endoscopies with a biopsy of my small intestine. I have also had a colonoscopy too and the doctors find nothing except the gastritis. I am going to see my doctor on Monday and I was thinking of asking him to put me on an anti-fungal. Any suggestions for which one and how long is long enough to be on an anti-fungal. I know that there is a candida diet, but I need to find out more about it. I was thinking of asking my doctor for B12 shots too because when I went to the bathroom this morning I found one of my vitamin supplements in my stool. My doctor put me on these and they are expensive, so I really feel like I am flushing money down the toilet (literally). Can anyone give me any suggestions and how does one end up with Candida, anyway?? Thanks. -Amy
Guest guest
Joan is right about the enzymes.. (Wil concurs with the importance of enzymes, I know..) I also take some hcl (betaine hydrochloride) to help me digest the proteins [meat, fish, eggs].. The only dairy I do aside from unsalted butter and eggs, is *home-cultured* milk. This is so it *really is* lactose-free, and is another way of ingesting good amounts of many strains of probiotics.. [iF you are using a good multi-strain probiotic as starter, that is..] [The trick here is to let the curds *begin to* separate from the whey, during the culturing process. ..You will just see a little liquid on the top of product.. THEN you know that the lactose has been consumed by the probiotics as they have propagated themselves..] [Oh, do take care to refrigerate product at that point! Too much culturing and the batch separates utterly into curds & whey, and completely goes to alcohol! Which tastes fizzy but alcohol turns to sugar which is counterproductive for our protocol..] Hope this helps!LouisePS ONLY because he has helped me SO MUCH, and he will NOT blow his own horn: Wil our group member has a clinic in PA and is one of the most educated and experienced naturopaths around! He has a virtual clinic online where you can find his contact info: <bodyelectrician.com>. I am telling everyone I can about him... Guest guest
Any hormones including bio identical can cause adrenal fatigue and candida as a result. You should treat adrenals first to have normal immune syatem and it can help other hormones too.Adrenal meds are dangerous too as adrenal glands supplements. I am under the treatment with comncentrated v. B5 and C for adrenal fatigue and feel much much better now. but no much docs can do that or have experience in it. I can recommend one to consult with. And if you have H pylori I can send you info how to trat it safe with natural treatments. > > Hi Everyone, > > I am new here. I hope that I can get some good advice and support here.
