Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am new here. I hope that I can get some good advice and support here. I believe that I have candida. My doctor even mentioned it to me. My hormones are out of balance. I was just started on bio-identical progesterone, I am taking a compounded physiological dose of 98% T4 to 2% T3. It has been helping and is the protocol that Dr. Ken Blanchard recommends in his book: What your doctor may not tell you about hypothyroidism. I am also getting treated for adrenal fatigue and taking a low dose of Cortef. I do have trouble sleeping on occasion. I always get so bloated and have been diagnosed with gastritis. I have reflux, irritable bowel, I can not eat wheat because it seems to make my symptoms worse. I have been tested for celiac 5 times 3 blood tests and 2 endoscopies with a biopsy of my small intestine. I have also had a colonoscopy too and the doctors find nothing except the gastritis. I am going to see my doctor on Monday and I was thinking of asking him to put me on an anti-fungal. Any suggestions for which one and how long is long enough to be on an anti-fungal. I know that there is a candida diet, but I need to find out more about it. I was thinking of asking my doctor for B12 shots too because when I went to the bathroom this morning I found one of my vitamin supplements in my stool. My doctor put me on these and they are expensive, so I really feel like I am flushing money down the toilet (literally). Can anyone give me any suggestions and how does one end up with Candida, anyway?? Thanks. -Amy
