Guest guest
Check out the book "Vice Cream" by Jeff . http://www.thenaughtyvegan.com/ There are a couple recipes in there that would surely satisfy any ice cream lover. Our favorite is very labor intensive and calls for young and mature coconuts, meat & water. You don't have to make that one to get a good vice cream, though. One of the recipes just calls for cashews, water, dates, and vanilla. It is very good and very easy to make. I use a Cusinart electric ice cream maker, but Jeff includes other techniques for making it. Jeff is a friend of ours and we've been privileged to be able to watch his growth and taste his recipes. I get no kickback from Jeff for any of this, just to let you know. I just wanted to share what got my husband off his "every night bowl of ice cream" habit. Guest guest
Joy - like I said there is one recipe that takes a blender, cashews, coconut water (or regular water), dates, vanilla and an ice cream maker. It takes me about 10 minutes to whirl it up and then 45 - 1 hour to chill, then pour into maker and turn it on and leave until it's done. When you want to make a change there's nothing that is too labor intensive, too expensive, or too of anything to stop you. Shari
