HiI was wondering if anyone could tell me what is causing a real bitter type taste in my mouth. Water and Juice both leave a bitter taste and it is there a lot of the day for the past few days.Anyone tell what is causing this. I know changing my diet would help but that is a battle I am not winning but trying very hard at especially since 's birth.Tracey

I also find I get a bitter taste in my mouth when I have a hormone change.......ie: pregnancy, breastfeeding and mid-cycle. I learned this when I was doing temp graphs and actually keeping track of things. Not sure if this could apply though. It was sortof a bitter metalic taste but may be different with others but I can tell exactly when midcycle hits.

Hi Kathy

Well I just had my baby nearly 5 weeks ago and I am breastfeeding. Can't say that I have had it with the past 5.

Hair has gone dry and I keep bleeding still - like stop start like a period since the initial after birth bleeding stopped. I don't normally bleed this long.

I got some Chinese Herbs for this yesterday started them this morning. She said that she is 99% sure I probably have some retained placenta causing this.

  • 4 years later...

>

> I'm slowly working my way into the program. I've been GF for 5 years and my

family has eaten pastured products (meat, eggs, raw milk) for several years. My

two children and I have candida issues, so I'm trying to follow Bee's diet as

best as I can.

>

> I had H1N1 a couple of weeks ago and noticed a bitter taste in my mouth (esp.

after drinking espresso, yes, a shot a day to get me out of brain fog in the

morning). At first, I thought it was b/c of the flu, but I'm still experiencing

this. Could it be a side effect of detoxification? Did my fever kill off

toxins? My sinuses are also inflamed on and off. Some days I can taste and

others I can't. I felt " out of it " for a few days, woke the other day with lots

of energy only to go back to not tasting and brain fog again. I have a history

of sinus issues and couldn't taste for 7 months before I eliminated gluten!

+++Hi . Espresso coffee would have caused problems for you all by

itself so having it every day didn't help.

+++All colds, flus and sinus problems are because your body is detoxifying - in

fact die-off/detoxifying symptoms are described as flu-like symptoms - see this

article to understand: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal2.php

+++Toxins can't be killed off. Your body creates heat in order to increase

immune system response, which kills off bacteria and viruses producing die-off

symptoms too.

+++Many candida sufferers have reported having taste problems, and the bad taste

is due to toxins coming out. As you progress on this program it should improve.

+++Also, since you've had sinus and taste problems in the past your body will be

" retracing " them as it heals, which is because of how the body heals itself

naturally - see this article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php

+++Getting healthy is not a steady uphill climb towards health, where you feel

better and better every day. It has its many ups and downs because of how the

body heals itself. As your body gets stronger it becomes more capable of

healing to, so that's why you felt good and then wham!

> I've been drinking the egg drive almost every morning for a month and use

coconut oil and raw butter on everything. Any ideas?

+++It is also important that you take all of the supplements, and that you

calculate your protein to fat to carb ratios - see this:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods8.php

+++Also help your body detoxify by doing dry skin brushing, coffee enemas, Epsom

salt baths, etc.

All the best, Bee
