I second the recommendation for Lundberg rice. They seem to be a conscientious

company, and their rice is very tasty!

No, not necessarily. Arsenic is in the soil. Rice is good at sucking

it up out of the soil.

Yes, but in order to be certified, the soil needs to be tested for traces of

toxins. It's not just like you can say, I'm not using any toxic pesticides and

you get certified.

I love Lundberg Farms rice! All of their combinations are so tasty to me. But

unfortunately, my POTS really flares after carbs so I am not eating much of it.

I will put 1/3 cup of any one of their mixes in soup which is a nice change.

Regarding arsenic - it is not only in the soil, it is also found in water,

naturally occurring. Some parts of the country are worse than others. So, it

could still have arsenic even if the soil is clear.

And lastly, it's only TRULY organic if they process their own products. For

example, with produce, an organic farmer drives his truck up to the processing

plant and his pristine produce gets put on the SAME conveyor belts as all of the

other produce where it picks up pesticides. So, be sure to wash organic veggies

as well.

As far as Lundberg, hopefully they are big enough to use all of their own

equipment and processing facilities. I don't know how rice is harvested.

Arsenic was very high on my first heavy metals test but was removed first

through DMPS chelation.
