Guest guest
Don't forget oat straw tincture, wheat grass juice, and burdock. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM Keep's going and going and going. That's pretty interesting on the maca stuff, I'm not familiar with it.

Guest guest
"Anyone here sprout their own pallets of wheatgrass? " No, way too much work and I don't have enough space to grow enough to satisfy me. I get a couple shots whenever I like at the local co-op and I know it's fresh because they just cut it off the "lawn"! I tried at one time, but like I said it was too time consuming and it takes dirt! I like sprouts that take no dirt. Shari
Guest guest
I grow it, I keep a batch of it going at the health food store in case any customer wants a shot of wheat grass juice. It isn't hard but does take some room. It's a LOT cheaper than buying it from someone else but folks who want the convinience of a shot from the health food store keeps me employed. Just buy a bag of wheat berries, build a box, put some dirt in the bottom, put a layer of wheat over the top, then cover that with a light covering of dirt. Water and put saran wrap over it for a few days until the grass emerges, then remove the saran wrap and water occasionally. Use between 5-7 " high, cut with scissors. When the bin is used up throw the sod in your compost pile and use it a few months later in a new batch. If you use it regularly you'll want a couple going that are staggered in planting times so when you finish one you don't have to wait a week for the next to come up. Hardly anyone in our area has heard of it so most of it gets used by the employees. Speaking of which, as fall goes into full swing and the lawn dies back it's time to get some going at home.
