Re: Yeast die-off and acne?

I found acne was a BIG part of my detox! Toxins coming out of your skin. Drink

lots of water, and try bentonite clay or activated charcoal to help absorb and

flush toxins.

Katy, I wouldn't stop taking essential fatty acids unless you mean

flax oil by that. DHA and EPA are proven to be essential; conversely,

linolenic acid such as is found in flax oil has been proven to be non-

essential when these requirements have been net.

Milk thistle promotes glutathione production if glutathione precursors

are present, but it does not give adequate precursors that are

necessary for that increase; precursors are plentiful in cold-

extracted whey powders. A distinction must be made because toxins and

metals deplete glutathione and if one is detoxing (or elderly) they

need more glutathione precursors than usual. Glutathione IS the main

liver support molecule as well as being the main immune system health

molecule and antioxidant.

Hi ; yes, cold- or low-temperatuire extraction is the process

that YIELDS undenatured, meaning unbroken, whey proteins. The proteins

would break at their fragile covalent sulfide=sulfide bonds, exposing

the cysteine as a toxin when it must remain bonded to be useful.

AN isolate has been further refined to remove specific proteins and

nearly all the sugar and fat. It may or may not be the glutathione

precursors that were kept in the isolate, so we still need to

determine that. In other words the waste product after concentrating

and removing glutathione precursors might be an isolate, but it would

have little value as a glutathione promoter, so we need the label or

other company literature to see what biological value has been

preserved.

(Organic) selenium 200mcg is a good maintenance; sick people usually

need more, and I usually start people off at 400.

I never suggest UDO's oil supplement because most people don't need

the extra omega-6 in it; I'd discontinue it permanently. Cod-liver oil

is fine along with unavoidable omega-6 that creeps into the food

chain. Further, LNA in UDO's doesn't convert well enough to DHA and

EPA anyway and the fish oil provides DHA and EPA without unnecessary

LNA.

When in doubt, do take lipase with meals that contain oils. Usually

one would take several digestive enzymes in a capsule.

all good,
