Guest guest
I have had chronic constipation for years. I have IBS and it swings to both sides of the pendulum. I haven't found anything yet that when used on a regular basis helps me become normal. I have a lot of stomach pain and very hard output. Is water the only option? Or is there something natural that would help. I've tried everything (to my knowledge) on the market. mary For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. Isa 50:7 for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Guest guest
, Have you tried plant-based enzymes that are “active”? Some that actually work? Most do not work – do the pudding test – if it won’t liquefy pudding, they are not active enzymes and they are dead, and will not work inside you. That would be my first thought, then probiotics – lots and lots of these products for your problem – maybe even a half a bottle a day of each. Guest guest
No, the fruit-based enzymes will work only if your body pH is a certain level. Same as pancreatic-based – works in a very small pH window. Most people need the plant-based enzymes that digest everything and work in all pH levels. Guest guest
, There are three types of enzymes – plant-based, digestive, and metabolic. “Metabolic enzymes” are present in every cell, tissue, and organ in the body and are responsible for every chemical reaction associated with the metabolism of the body. “Plant-based enzymes” (or food enzymes) are the enzymes contained in raw food. When you cook a food at about 115 deg., you kill all the enzymes in that food, so then your body (pancreas mostly) has to go into “overdrive” to produce enough enzymes to digest everything. If you eat raw food, your body will say ahhhhhh, this is easy, I don’t have to do much work here. Your body manufactures and secretes “digestive enzymes” to help anytime you eat cooked and enzyme-less food. The enzyme capsules you choose should help to break down fats, carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. Also make sure it has some type of whole food included in the capsule that will supply vitamins and minerals along with the enzymes, since enzymes need vitamins and minerals for optimum functioning. Without an abundant supply of plant-based enzymes and digestive enzymes, digestion can be severely impaired. A good enzyme should have amylase to break down starch; invertase to digest sugar products; lactase to digest milk sugar; cellulase and pectinase to assist in the breakdown of fiber; lipase to break down fat; and protease, bromelain, and papain to break down protein. Carol From: Reilly setlikeflint@...\ What are plant-based enzymes - some examples please? I know nothing about them. mary
