Guest guest
Hmmm. There is a lot of reference to molds being immunosuppressive, perhaps this is happening and the virus in your system now is able to express? I've known people who were taking Methotrexate as an immunosupressive therapy for arthritis, and complained of constant canker sores in the mouth. Same virus, I believe. --- In , " hodgee@s... Guest guest
So you are saying that the mold that I was exposed to has screwed up my immune system? -------Original Message------- From: Date: 06/02/04 21:55:36 Subject: [] Re: Shingles Hmmm. Guest guest
Yes it screwed up your immune system. It becomes over active. Hence my allergic reactions now to foods and MCS.

Guest guest
Well, mine sure is. Sorry, just a theory, I'm not a doctor. Not that any of them has had any value for me so far. > > I have a question. If you have been affected by mold can this > > contribute to making shingles come back. Guest guest
SHINGLES: Internally, plant-based enzyme therapy is very effective to reduce inflammation, stimulate the immune system, improve circulation and help speed tissue repair (do the pudding test to make sure you get active enzymes). Other important supplements are acidophilus and bifidus. Friendly bacteria stimulates enzyme activity and improves the body's natural immunity. In addition, one of the best antiviral foods is coconut oil, “Nature’s Marvelous Germ Fighter”: One of the most amazing aspects of coconut oil is its ability to fight infections. When coconut oil is consumed, the body transforms its unique fatty acids into powerful antimicrobial powerhouses capable of defeating some of the most notorious disease-causing microorganisms. Even the super germs are vulnerable to these lifesaving coconut derivatives. Coconut oil is, in essence, a natural anti bacterial, anti viral, anti fungal, and anti protozoal food. Coconut oil’s anti microbial effects come from its unique composition of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). Coconut oil is composed of 48 percent lauric acid, 7 percent capric acid, 8 percent caprylic acid, and .5 percent carproic acid. These medium-chain fatty acids give coconut oil its amazing anti microbial properties and are generally absent from all other vegetables and animal oils with the exception of butter. MCFA are natural substances the body knows how to use for its benefit. They are harmless to us while they are deadly to certain microorganisms. For example, most bacteria and viruses are encased in a coat of lipids (fats). The fatty acids that make up this outer membrane or skin hold together the organism’s DNA. Lipid coated viruses and bacteria are easily killed by MCFA, which primarily destroy these organisms by disrupting their lipid membranes. MCFA, being similar to those in the micro-organisms’s membrane, are easily attracted to and absorbed into it. Unlike the other fatty acids in the membrane, MCFA are much smaller and, therefore, weaken the already nearly fluid membrane to such a degree that it disintegrates. The membrane literally splits open, spilling its insides and killing the organism. Our white blood cells quickly clean up and dispose of the cellular debris. MCFA kill invading organisms without causing any known harm to human tissues. The potential coconut oil has in treating and preventing a wide assortment of infections is truly astounding, ranging from the flu to life-threatening conditions such as AIDS. Topically the best thing for shingles is a lotion that has beta glucan. Carol ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would you benefit from a more effective and healthy immune system? Guest guest
Yep. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tina<mailto:frinh96221@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Friday, October 07, 2005 7:19 AM Subject: shingles Shingles supposedly occurs only in people who have already had chicken pox. Did your two-year-old have chicken pox at some point prior to the shingles? Yes, he had chicken pox when he was 3 months old, but only very mildly. I thought that was the reason he got shingles at 2.
