Guest guest
Hi Team!! Hope everyone is well. I need some advice to help my sister. She noticed her foot was tender a few days ago. Now her lower leg and foot is swollen to about twice the size of her other leg. She went to the ER today for x-rays and ultrasound. They found nothing like a broken bone or stress fracture and no blood clot. They sent her home after charging her an unbelievable amount of money... Any ideas? She says her foot is tender to walk on, but other than that, just the swelling that is worrying me. Thanks to all who respond. I am quite worried. Obviously, this is not normal. Blessings and Peace to us all. Cheryl
Guest guest
Try an epsom salt bath/soak... or/and a acv soak... When did this start? What had she done? No bite marks? any prolonged standing, long airplane flights? Could be edema, could be the kidneys ... Might check out a chiro as something could be out of whack. See if you can find out what she was doing the day it started? How's her diet also? Does she have frequent bms? Does she or is she prone to retaining fluids? Guest guest
This may not apply because I had swelling on both sides, very bad ankle swelling 30 years ago. I used the taro root poultice (recipe follows) on my kidneys, because I reasoned that water retention was from clogged kidneys. Two days of treatment and it cleared up. As soon as I put it on my kidneys, I could feel it pulling from inside my knees. Powerful! Tarp Root Plaster 4 parts peeled grated taro root 1 part unpeeled grated fresh ginger white flour to bind Mix all and put 1/4 " to 1/2 thick on the affected area. Cover with a cloth. Leave on for 1 hour, then change to a fresh one for another hour. When you remove, do not handle the cloth or poultice other than to throw it away. You do not want to reabsorb the toxins. Another poultice that might help is Chlorophyll Poultice and the ingredients might be more readily available. Crush or blend 4 parts dark green leaves - any kind from weeds to spinach to tree leaves, with 1 part fresh mint leaves. Put on in the same manner. She could also put it on her foot too to draw toxins and help circulation. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, My first impression is maybe an allergic reaction, or a bite/puncture. Is there any indication of a wound on the bottom of the foot, maybe between the toes? There are ways to deal with the swelling, but unless the cause is determined, it might not be of much help. Hot/cold therapy for the swelling, soaking in epsom salts, immune boosters like Tonic or Echinacia, that sort of thing. Sorry I can't be of more help.
