Guest guest
Hi, my first post, have been reading for a while. I have chronic lyme and past history of antibiotics plus steroids for lupus. Systemic candida flared in November and naturopath put me on a rotation of herbals to treat for 6 weeks, and a diet of mostly proteins and veggies. Things got better and eventually I eased back into some carbs, but yeast is back again. I was put on diflucan for a one-month period for systemic yeast about two years ago, which made me feel better immediately. This time things are taking longer to get better. No longer on abx, am rifing for lyme. I am confused about diet. Seems to be differing opinions there. My doc says quinoa is okay because it is a complete protein, other sources say no grains at all; I read some books that say to have a bowl of miso soup every day, and others say to stay away from anything fermented. Then I have the challenge of weight loss. I feel so weak. I lost 18 pounds in the 6 week treatment of this thing. I need to know if almond flour is okay, and coconut flour? I have to find a way to keep my weight up and found some recipes on-line for breads made with almond flour. Thanks...Naomi
Guest guest
Naomi, in the interests of saving me time as I am exhausted, I am going to bullet my answers. I can give you real answers to a number of your concerns. [My issue was systemic fungus, for 10 years. In recovery and finally making serious progress thank God.] I also am reposting a couple paragraphs that pertain to some of your issues/questions below. (So I don't have to retype all of paragraphs, just take the parts below that pertain to you. Be prob most of them anyway..) IF your prob really is systemic fungus: * you will do VERY well to get on our group member Wil's MMS/AOT (mentioned below) * it is natural, cheap and works to kill pathogens including systemic fungus * it is the ONLY thing that has really worked for me in a decade * (diet helped to curb fungal progress * (but didn't kill it) * the MMS/AOT kills the fungus, and lots more * Wil's website having his contact info is below. -------------- * Re: grains. Don't: * not even quinoa, millet, amaranth and buckwheat * all grains including the above are high carb * high carbs turn to sugar * sugar feeds the fungus * even now I do not do fruit except * EVERY blue moon * and NO high carb veges either * they are too sweet and feed the fungus * go to Dr Atkin's website and check the carb counter * to see which veges are low carb and stick to those. ------------- * What can we eat? * veges--I eat mine raw mostly * sometimes lightly cooked so still crunchy * I eat enough meat, eggs, fish to " bind " the veges * I do cultured milk--home done so has 12-14 strains of probiotics * and NO lactose * I do cream (yum--helps keep my weight on) * I do olive oil first cold-pressed (also helps keep weight on) * if do butter it's unsalted * I take soil-borne organisms (from Wil) * I take his colloidal minerals * I use copious spices to make the food taste good * and vary them as some are anti-fungal * I take herbs for liver support; I take kelp. The MMS/AOT also heals LYME. It heals a BUNCH of things... ...Fermented foods ONLY bothered me when the fungus was WAAY out of control, BEFORE I got on the MMS/AOT.. Not recommend coconut flour or milk, or the coconut meat at all. It's VERY sweet. However its OIL is loaded with caprylic acid plus 2 more acids that are strong anti-fungals. When the fungus was at its peak in raging through my system, the coconut oil on a regular basis helped a LOT. Also TONS of probiotics helped; but now the fungus is being killed with AOT I can save all that money and can do cultured milk which gives me my probiotics.. NOT recommend nuts at all UNLESS they are soaked overnight in warm salted H20 as per Sally Fallon in her Nourishing Traditions. (Wil says no seeds/nuts at ALL.) I have been off them altogether since committing myself to Wil's protocol oh, 3 months ago which is saving my LIFE. I do not miss the nuts/seeds. I love having some sort of a LIFE again, and make the foods I CAN eat taste GOOD. (The seeds/nuts have enzyme inhibitors. Wil refers to anti-nutrients in them. Don't know if those are same as the inhibitors or not. But eating them UNsoaked means the seeds/nuts are pulling nutrients OUT of the body!! My energy level increased noticeably when I started to SOAK them first..) The paragraphs: Now that I am on the MMS/AOT, I no longer have the rumbling/gurgling response to probiotics that I did! I also no longer have the *extreme* same reaction to cultured milk/cheese that I did either! Obviously the fungus is indeed being killed (by the MMS/AOT), the fungus which was the culprit all along. So, I can't recommend Wil's AOT more highly enough either! ..It is cheap and natural; and regardless of any other issues at play can help ANYone. (Just take it SLOWLY like Wil says and you'll be FINE. :>) Re: Wil himself (at bodyelectrician.com), he has overcome serious illness himself and is seeing many people not just me, get well! He is highly knowledgeable as a naturo healer, and *affordable!!* [He is saving me a ton of money OVER products I USED to have to use that cost more and performed less!] I can't recommend him enough! ..He has seen 3 of his patients get off dialysis recently due to his care of them.. If anyone has the answers you need, I believe Wil does! I am glad you are a member of this group and are seeking the answers that you need. Diligent seeking can certainly produce positive results! ~Louise Hi, my first post, have been reading for a while. I have chronic lyme and past history of antibiotics plus steroids for lupus.
