Guest guest
I just got back from Clearwater FL. Now there is a place I wouldn't mind living. I'm not a big fan of shoes or heavy clothes. I like tanks & shorts or skirts. Summer is definately my time of year! I have a pair of tennis shoes, too. They also have never seen pavement. I carry them in my gym bag into Lifetime. Carry them in my gym bag out to my car. Soon the snow will be falling and all my barefooted bliss will end. : ( Candace -----Original Message-----From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of Sharyn CernigliaSent: Saturday, October 29, 2005 9:03 AMhealth Subject: RE: shoes.. Mine started growing up in Florida. I was 22yo and had moved to Philadelphia before I ever wore a pair of shoes.<G> And was in heaven when we bought the house in Florida last year and I didn't have to wear shoes in the winter anymore. Now I just have to get through one more week of fall in Philadelphia (which is gorgeous, which is why I'm still here<G>) with my socks/Birkenstocks combination before I'll be blissfully barefoot of flip flopped back in Florida for the winter. I gave away (either Freecycled or to friends) all my snow boots and closed shoes. I have one pair of Ryka sneakers which live in the car for my Curves visits. (And I only bought them because they wouldn't let me work out barefoot or in socks.) I carry them in with me, put them on and exercise, take them off when I'm done, and carry them back out to the car. Their soles have never seen pavement.<BG> Sharyn
Guest guest
My 3 year old has an ear infection that won't go away and has been up for nights and is miserable. I know someone who put liquid bentonite clay in the ear for a bad infection and it was gone the next day. Just pour some in, stuff the ear with a cotton ball and leave it in overnight. If it's a bacteria infection, the liquid clay will suck it right out. Gloria
Guest guest
Try some garlic mullein ear drops for the ear infection. Try MSM for the pain... You have to take it for several days or longer..maybe always...angeldestiny <angeldestiny@...> wrote: Must be something in the air. I am having a horrible day. Guest guest
Kathy, My heart goes out to you! What is causing the pain? As for the mood you have been forced into, do you have any sort of relaxing tea? Even chamomile or valerian would help. As for the ear ache of your little one, do you have any garlic and olive oil? You can make a real easy ear infection drops infusing olive oil with garlic. To cut down the "steeping time", you can do it in a crock pot for about eight hours on low. Just crush the garlic and put in some oil. When it cools, press out the garlic and there you go. Apply a couple of drops a few times a day, have the child lay with the affected ear up so the oil doesn't drain out too soon. Hang in there, Kathy. Positive energy and prayers coming your way!! Guest guest
We have a little mini crock that I use for all my "hedge brews". I use about 4 good sized cloves, crushed first then diced finely. Crushing them releases more of the oils. Then I add about half a baby food jar's worth of organic EVOO. If you have a small glass or stainless steel (glass is MUCH better) sauce pan, you could use this on as low as you can get it, then turn it off for a couple of hours at a time, then low again for a short time, so on and so forth. Not the best way to do it, but it does work. Also, if you don't have a spare dropper, you can squeeze some into the ear from a saturated cotton ball, or gently swab the OUTER part of the ear canal (never the inner, never deep!!) with with a cotton swab with enough of the oil to trickle in. Hope this helps!!! Peace, love, laughter "Humor is one of the most serious tools we have for dealing with impossible situations."angeldestiny <angeldestiny@...> wrote: Thank you. Right now we don't have much of anything as my cheque just came yesterday and haven't had time for shopping. I have a list for hubby so i will add some tea onto it.....and some garlic(that doesn't last long around here....we all love it) How much is good to make it with.....I don't want it to burn in the crock pot and ours is big. Guest guest
Sounds like it would work. Just make sure it is thoroughly cleaned and completely drie before using it. Guest guest
Don't let it burn.or boil.. turn it off.. yes you will strain this mix... squeezing the garlic to get all out of the cloves as you strain.angeldestiny <angeldestiny@...> wrote: I forgot to ask....do I need to strain this mix? My cooker is actually getting too hot so I think I will have to turn it off for a while so it doesn't burn. Suzi What is a weed?
