If you can take calcium supplements without experiencing pain then there shouldn't be a problem...right? Did they give you any more info on the " calcium metabolism error " ?...I would try and get specifics on what that means. Have you looked into other approaches? Do you use progesterone cream? Are you able to take walks? Have you considered ways you might be losing calcium ...caffeine, sodas, high protein diet,flouridated water?
