Guest guest
* How much fiber are you getting. You need a lot with leaky gut. I take 9 big capsules a day. Though I have the oppisite problem you do. Also getting lots of bacteria in you will help.
Guest guest
I did a parasite cleanse and I didn't go as much either until I started doing enemas. I think the parasites that I had were actually sort of clogging things up. I know you don't want to make it a habit, I am wary of that too, but if it has been a week and you are in pain, you might want to just go ahead and try it. Maybe your body is just overwhelmed. Are you even feeling the urge to go and can't go, or is the urge not even there? What kind of " liquids " are you drinking? " M. " <puhutes@...> wrote:I've been reading about the ileocecal valve lately because I have found out it can cause a lot of the symptoms I am still having. I eat and I eat and I eat and nothing ever comes out. I am tall and very scrawny. I thought well maybe it is parasites... so I did another parasite cleanse. Now my bowel movements are even worse than before and I am having sharp pains in my colon (does having colonics maybe have something to do with this problems of elimination or just because I keep doing the parasite cleanse?) I have started to exercise more and trying to drink even more liquids with no luck of elimination. I don't like doing too many colonics or enemas since I would prefer my body to do its own elimination, but I think not going for over a week is a really huge problem I found a pretty good site talking about this: http://www.chiroweb.com/archives/21/06/07.html I have also read in my course book that things like raw grains, veggies and fruits and irritate the valve causing it to stick open or shut... it talks a lot about proper food combining and avoid irritating the ileocal valve. Other sources suggest that a chiropractor can help with opening or closing the malfunctioning vale or a kineoslogist. Confused *8-)
Guest guest
Yeah, my BM were pretty normal before doing this (alteast once a day anyways) I definately feel all clogged up... I am occassionally feeling the urge to go. I am drinking the suggested amount of water so that comes out to about 1 1/2 litres a day, plus I drink 1-2 herbal teas and I drink water on the side too.. maybe another 1-2 litres. I did have 1 piece of stool the other day. It was harder than a rock. And I am trying to eat foods that promote too.. like parsley and prunes! It's driving me nuts. You have convinced me to go and get a colonic tomorrow. Probably only 1 more to go before the end of my cleanse. *8-) > kind of " liquids " are you drinking? Guest guest
I had those " hard as a rock " stools too when I did the first parasite cleanse, I think that's where they " hide. Guest guest
So far I've found the parasite cleanse makes me go a little more regular than before even. But I did start to take cold precessed ground flax with it. Try an enema. I don't do those very often as I don't want to depend on them and prefer my body goes at it's own pace but when you've gone that long you may want to try one to see if it gets things moving again. I've never done a colonic so don't what to say about those. I've heard good things and bad things about them just like everything else. Guest guest
, I was having the same problem, and like you I'm very tall and thin. I would have at most, a BM every 4-5 days and it was always very hard. I started taking Metafiber (from Metagenics) in the morning and 4 tablets of Triphala each day (an Indian Ayurvedic compound of three herbs). I'm now getting having normal BMs virtually every day. I'm also working on my diet to fix the leaky gut and candidiasis. Guest guest
I've just found this information on a web site. Ileocecal Valve and Candida The Ileocecal valve is located between our large and small intestine. Food that we eat enters the small intestine where nutrients are absorbed into the blood stream. The waste matter then passes through the ileocecal valve, which opens to let the waste pass onwards into the large intestine and then closes to prevent waste material seeping back into the small intestine. If this valve malfunctions 'jamming' open (or sometimes closed) then toxic waste can build up in our body, which can lead to the spread of Candida into our body. Candida lives off our cells, effectively eating them up, which in turn releases more toxins into the body. Toxin build up causes our body to retain fluid in an attempt to neutralise the toxic situation. This toxic fluid is then stored in the joints of our body, effectively eating away the joint surfaces! This fluid is then cleansed by our liver, overloading it, which in turn hinders its normal functions. The ileocecal valve can be affected by caffiene, coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar, stress, saccharine, food preservatives, dehydration and refined foods or so called 'normal' foods. Symptoms of ICV dysfunctions include; lower back ache or pain across the lower back heel pain that is often worse first thing in the morning neck pain, especially the 'just woke up with it' condition shoulder pain-simulating bursitis afternoon tiredness especially between 1pm-3pm left knee pain on the inside of the top of the knee big toe pain especially on the right Hope you find it useful. Guest guest
, Yes, I did find this very useful. Thank you for all the information. The symptoms seem to perfectly match mine, which I thought was all because of the Candida. Does the web site say anything about fixing the " jam " other than staying away from the offending foods? Also, does anyone know if a Colonic could screw up the Ileocecal valve more? Or would it help? I hope someone has some ideas about this, because I am planning my first Colonic soon. Never done it before. McKelvey wrote: > I've just found this information on a web site. > > Ileocecal Valve and Candida > The Ileocecal valve is located between our large and > small intestine. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, The ileocecal valve is the opening between the large and small intestines. The location is about 2 inches below the appendix. You would place the washcloth over that area on your body. Another way to correct stuck shut valve: apply pressure down and out over valve. To correct stuck open valve: push in and up over area. Uh, if you're not sure of the location of your appendix you can use McBurney's point: a point one third of the way along a line drawn from the hip to the umbilicus...or 2/3 of the way up from the navel to the iliac crest. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/1070.htm The ileocecal valve of the ileum passes digested material into the large intestine. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/19221.htm Hope that helps, Kit > > >
Guest guest
Go for an ultrasound imaging to diagnose. Also try epsom salt to evacuate bowels. (apply all disclaimers to this post) ____________________________________ Baurebu wrote: > I think I am having problems with the ileocecal valve. I tried the valve massage with no relief. I haven't had a real bowel movement in about a week. Enemas end up in only liquids, which probably means there is no food getting into the colon. I eat 3 times a day. I started being extremely dizzy, nauseous, tenderness where the valve is located, really bad breath. It feels like all the toxins are backing up in my system. Any advice? > > Mike
Guest guest
My chiropractor showed me how to do the ileocecal valve adjustment. Lie on your back, lift your knees. Breathe out. Take both hangs, interlock fingers, make a scoop, like the ice cream scoop, go on right lover side of your abdomen, right next to the pelvic bone and gently but firmly scoop down and towards the left shoulder. It will hurt a bit but not too bad. For constipation, take magnesium 4000 mg first night and adjust down as needed (this is per GI doctor) Take this before you go to sleep. If you get watery stools cut down magnesium dosage. Reduce the amount of food intake until you get better. You can also puree your foods (in the blender) to help with digestion for a few days. Hope this helps. Feel better. carmen ________________________________ From: Baurebu <baurebu@...> candidiasis Sent: Mon, October 19, 2009 7:10:13 AM Subject: Ileocecal valve I think I am having problems with the ileocecal valve. Guest guest
First advice would be a series of liver flushes. They include a bowel purge via the epsom salts so you know for a fact you're clear enough to function. Second, you need to defecate about every day at least, so increase fiber, both insoluble, and soluble. For bowel health and probiotic purposes the favoured soluble fiber is inulin; increase insoluble fiber with non-starchy vegetables. Duncan > > I think I am having problems with the ileocecal valve. Guest guest
Dear Carmen, how many times do you have to do the scoop movement? How did you know that you had a problem with the valve? How long before you saw improvement? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks, Mike > > My chiropractor showed me how to do the ileocecal valve adjustment. > Lie on your back, lift your knees. You need to see a doctor and get some tests. My colon was nearly shut off due to ovarian cysts. I had constant GI pain and I was also breaking out in pimples on my forearms, which I believe was due to toxins and infection starting in. Total lack of bowels moving could indicate a serious blockage, or not, but if it was me, I'd get it checked out. FWIW, I had a friend with similar symptoms to yours, and when she didn't come out of her appartment or answer her phone luckily a friend with a key checked on her and she was found unconscious and nearly dead from a bowel blockage. She was rushed to surgery, and the surgeon reported to her daughter that her 3/4 of her bowel was dead and necrotic. sol
Guest guest
Mike, you can do the scoop movement 2 times daily if you need to but 1 time is enough. First I learned about magnesium then about ileocecal valve self adjustment. Ever since magnesium I am not constipated anymore. You sound like you're stuck really bad, please see a doctor especially if magensium 4000mg for 2-3nights in a row does nothing for you. You can get lot's of good advice in here from different people, but you need to be the judge of what to do about your body. People from email are not there to see/feel your body. Have you done the epsom salts or magensium or a bowel purge in the last 3 days? (since you last wrote?) Did you get any results? Please asses your situation more clearly and go see a doctor, do not think about money or other small inconveniences. carmen ________________________________ From: Baurebu <baurebu@...> candidiasis Sent: Wed, October 21, 2009 7:11:55 AM Subject: Re: Ileocecal valve Dear Carmen, how many times do you have to do the scoop movement? Guest guest
Did he showed you how to fix Pyloric Valve? I have red it can cause Bile reflux. I had fixed Haital Hernia with help of Chiro. Endoscopy didn`t shoed it at all but I still have some reflux. Probably I should massage all valves. > > > > My chiropractor showed me how to do the ileocecal valve adjustment. > > Lie on your back, lift your knees.
