Guest guest
My son lives on Prilosec. He has a metabolic disorder (PKU) and recently went back on diet. He has had the acid problem for years. His disorder is the inability to break down the amino acid into tyrosene. He just started a special formula for that. He is on a very limited protein diet outside of the formula. He does eat a high fat diet at times He has one bug junk food day and the rest of the time, he eats grains, ie rice noodle combos, regular pasta and brown rice dishes. Drinks a lotof pepsi. He doesn't eat much real fruit. I am trying to get him to eat more. The formula has decreased his appetite and I think if I prepare fresh fruit things he would eat them. Did I give you enough information? Thanks. m For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Suzi PS You gave me alot of info... Reilly <setlikeflint@...> wrote: My son lives on Prilosec. He has a metabolic disorder (PKU) and recently went back on diet. He has had the acid problem for years. Guest guest
Well, there is a good question. The first problem is money so neither of us can afford an ND right now and I know a really good one I'd like to get back to. The pepsi might be tough but I'll have to see what I can do. Six months ago there was no way he was going back on the PKU diet, but he did and when he started to feel better he got real serious and gets upset if his formula arrives late. So it is possible. m Is he willing to change his eating habits?? and do a total cleanse? and give up the junk food? and the pastas? and pepsi?? Cause this is what it is going to take... Guest guest
Don't forget the "greens" (veggies) Reilly <setlikeflint@...> wrote: That will take some time to convince him. I am transitioning to that now. I think as my health improves it will be more tempting for him. I am eating almost no meat myself and have greatly increased my fruit intake. As a result I am not as hungry as before. So I am probably getting more of the nutrients my body needs. Seeing is believing for a lot of people, esp my skeptical DH and son. I think then he might be willing to transition too. m Will he go to a totally raw diet/juices/water?? For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded.
