Rule of thumb ...if a plant lives in a wet or damp environment, like mushrooms, ferns, seaweed, it repels water, so it will help the body repel water. If a plant lives in arid conditions, like cactus, it holds water, so it will help the body hold water.

When I woke up this morning my wife asked me, "Did you sleep good?" I said "No, I made a few mistakes."

I encap Shiitake, Miatake, and Cordyceps. I also add Miatake powder to some dressings. Not reading the rest of the thread , but in case no one said where to purchase: you can get most of the `shorooms powdered at either Mountain Rose Herbs or Herbalcom (both online) Same with Elderberry. Assuming you wanted to tincture the `shrooms, guess you would use ACV versus 100 proof. I found elderberry syrup for $4.99 at the Vitamin Shoppe, and the same brand and size for $14.99 at other herb stores. I hope to make my own
