Guest guest
All the things I've talked about avoid gum surgery. Find the right dentist. The "right" dentist will have a microscope in his office and his office will not use mercury, among other things. The "right dentist" will not want you to have gum surgery. I've had this battle and have done a lot of research. That's the only reason I can post what I post. Is there anything that can be done to clean deep pockets that call for gum surgery? Or, is surgery unavoidable? Guest guest
Is there anything that can be done to clean deep pockets that call for gum surgery? Or, is surgery unavoidable? I have major periodontis and I have been keeping it under control without surgery. Again, I drink and swish with the grapefruitseed extract I mentioned to Carol and try to really get it in every crevice of my gums. I also have success with taking at least 2000 mg. of ester-C before bed every night. The thing that *really* helped my gums is something most people won't want to do...I am off ALL sugar and yeast. I mean NO sugar in any form (except some fruit once in awhile). I see a major difference in my gums and so has the dentist. If I eat some fruit and don't brush or rinse my teeth right afterwards, the gums flare up the next day. Gotta keep that mouth totally free from sweet stuff as it really has a negative impact on any exisiting tooth or gum problems. I have tried everything under the sun and I have developed a regimen that has enabled me to avoid any surgery. But I have to be religious about it or else it takes a turn for the worse everytime. Oh..and use a water-pik at least once a day, preferably more. Sometimes I only use plain old warm water in it but shoot that sucker between every tooth and try to get the water above the gum line. Guest guest
I found the one in San Diego by talking with alternative health professional that I used. Chiropractors, acupunturists, herbalists, raw food places. It's funny too. They almost all recommended the same dentist. He's great and has saved my teeth. Another dentist had already pulled one and wanted to do two more. If I would have started looking a little sooner, I would have saved that one too. I haven't had a cavity since I was 10 so I'm not too worried about the fillings but if I or Brock get a cavity it'd be nice to know how to find a real dentist in my area. What do you look under?
