Rhonda, Cute~ that expression of your daughter's. And congrats on the

grandbabe. I want one so bad I can taste it, and I am years away. My kids,

neither one of em, are even dating! Sheesh! At this rate, I'll be 70 before

I have one. But the good news is, I'll be around to enjoy them even then,

Seeing this post reminded me of what my daughter tells everyone about

how much weight I have lost..... I hope no one takes offense..... she

is our foster daughter and is from Kentucky. She tells everyone that

I am losing weight like a hillbilly loses teeth. She is also my

daughter that is due to have her baby on May 10. Time is getting

close. This is our first grandbaby!!! Starting to get excited!!!

Yes, you can use the saying. My dayghter can come up with some

pretty cute stuff. As far as the baby goes..... I am getting excited

but I do wish the circumstance were different. She just turned 18

the end of February, her boyfriend will not be 18 until this coming

Monday. They both still have a year of high school after this year.

So.... it isn't exactly what we would have chose for her at this time

in her life but we are trying to help her make the best of it. She

will be living with us for at least 1 1/2 years after the baby is

born. It will be different. I like a challenge though. This will

be.... a husband, two teenagers (my son and daughter), and a baby all

in the same home. I just hope I can handle a baby being in the home

again. I might be too old for this!!!!!! But I am getting excited!!

I actually bought this powder from lowes food it is a large grocery store

here. I hadn't seen it newhere else. I like the taste of it compared to

other things and i like the fact that it has protein in it also. I can tell

a difference but i recently started takin sum other things

also....creatine, more protein, glucosamine, so i really dont know if it

is that or which it is ......but it wasnt too expensive and always worth a

try. I work out everyday of the week and have for the last basically 3

weeks i can finally tell a difference in my joints.......they dont hurt me

as much as they did when i wrote the first email to the group. Let me know

if u try it..

We did take a different way home. On the way there we took the toll road, Al

wanted to take I69 to Rt. 30 on the way home, and I got loss. We went about an

hour out of our ways going around Ft. Wayne on 469!! LOL it's funny now, but it

wasn't at 1 a.m. .....

Hi Trudy!!!!!

I was sure glad to see you post this morning!! I have been on for

quite a while watching to see if you post. On the way home last

night we had to take a detour through the country for quite a ways

because of a wreck on 6. I was worried that you guys may have been

involved. I didn't know which way you were going back home. It

looked as though it was a pretty bad wreck. Lots of cops and they

had the road blocked off. It's a relief to know you guys were not

involved.

It was great to meet all of you. I've been waiting a long time to

meet all of you guys.

If there was an attachment included it was not from me!! My computer had some

kind of virus and it went through my email address' and mailed the virus to

everyone! I hope beings you were not able to open it you don't have the damn

virus, but check with a virus scan okay.

Very true.....living one day at a time is what i try to do.......sumtimes i

get caught up in the recent past and distant future...but im glad that i

have my mgb pals to bring me back to the here and now and takin it one day

the 6th grade! but weighing the same as what i weighed in the 8th grade

I am so proud of you Trudy. You have fought your battle well and have the scares to prove it. Only 9 more days. Wow it is so hard to believe seems like last month you were debating on weather or not to take tx. Way to go. You hair will come back maybe go with a shorter style for a bit. As for the rash cant really comment on that a friend of mine still has bouts with it and she stopped tx last March.

That's awesome Trudy, I am so happy for you! I know you have had a tough time with the sides, I hope that you will begin to heal and feel better soon! Before the procrit, I could barely do anything. It was awful, I am so thankful it worked for me and I didn't have to have a blood transfusion. My hair is so thin now and I am so itchy. But a lot of that has to do with this awful winter and me trying to keep hydrated, which I struggle with daily...LOL I need a water witch in my home!

Our gastro said we will discuss when she starts tx when we go in Feb. Right now a lot of it depends on the insurance company. She is 18 and her insurance under us ends at the end of this year. She works a full time job at a nursing home and can get insurance through them. My doctor suggested we check in to her insurance through her work since if she starts tx on my insurance and it ends before she is finished it will be a mess. Will update you all on that too, since it may come up for someone else sometime.

Thanks Trudy, Teri sent me a message on fb checking to see if I was doing ok. Had a horrible shot weekend, week 23 was not kind to me. I know it's because I am not drinking enough. Its so hard with this cold weather, but I am drinking twice as much as I was so I hope week 24 shot will be better! I am half way there!!! WOOHOO

Just stand at fridge and you can not away till over half a bottle is " down the hatch ". If you let yourself get dehydrated, it takes a few days of correct drinking for the sides of dehydration to clear up; extra fatigued, weak, heart palpitations( maybe) and heart beating really hard! Skin issues will now appear; rashes, bleeding fingers, itching. Can only imagine what going on mentally ( brain fog ).Try making yourself drink. Whatever mind game that works for you. Me?? I woulnt let myself eat those yummy corn dogs till another full bottle consumed...it take 15 mins to heat oven, they cook for 17 mins and when done it's another 5-7 mins to cool. Thank you! It is so exciting to think that I am half way there. I am not drinking enough, I know this. Even when I think I am drinking enough I am not. I can feel it in my skin, and my mouth keeps drying up too. I have been carrying the water with me everywhere even to bed, so I hope I can get my body hydrated again. Thanks for the tips, I have learned a lot from you to help with my sides and I appreciate that so much. Next week is my week 24 doctors visit and I also get to find out the results of my daughter's liver biopsy. I will be sure to update the group!

It's so good having someone 'fresh from the trenches', so to speak, that's telling the tale while it's fresh!

I feel like I've healed pretty well, but brain fog and fatigue still sneak up on me sometimes, it's not the easiest thing to remember details about treatment years later.
