Guest guest
Thanks again for all your inputs! How do you determine when you were infected? All I've had is the initial test saying I had it. Thanks,Rod
Guest guest
Hi Rod and Teri, The amount of liver damage occurs at a different pace in different people. Mine is VERY slow moving--minimal damage after 44 years. The biopsy will only let us know how much damage has occurred--not how long it took to occur. I am sure of the time for me as I was diagnosed with liver disease in 1966 and a friend I shared a little drug use with way back then has already died from Hep C. As you said, it does not make a difference when or how we got it.What is important is how much damage has occurred and what we plan to do about it. Some like you treat and some like me decide to go the alternative route. It is important not to drink and try to lead a healthy lifestyle once you know you have Hep C. It is also important to have a good doctor who understands Hep C and to get all the information you can about it. SuziQ > > > > > > > Thanks again for all your inputs!
