Guest guest
Debby, I did the same thing the other day. It was the week after I had moved. I had not slept well and was extremely tired and to the point of exhaustion (Teary eyed and all that). I went to the post office I use to go to every day and was talking on the cell phone with my sister and realized I didn't know where I was. I just stopped and cried. She said put the phone down, get yourself together and do not drive any further until you stop crying. Boy was she right. I was a basket case. It is frightening. Then I went through the who's going to take care of me when I can't thing. Being a single Mom of 2 kids 25 (Married and still in school, Dental School) and a 19 year old son, this is a big concern of mine. I have a large supportive family and know that they will all help but I some times feel such a burden to them. They all have their own families and didn't sign up for me too. I stop all this pity stuff and just thank God that I have them. So many people do not have this support. Enough said. It is frightening. I just hang in there and keep hearing Cheryl and Randy tell me that after the transplant the fogginess goes away and when you see Randy return to a life that is so full and productive you have to know that it's true. Hang in there. Lost and driving around and around the post office here in Virginia. .
Guest guest
Hi Debby: Yes, that is a very scary thought.... Are you taking lactose? Cliff has been foggy brained, too. It is so scary-- he rambles on alot. And , we both get stressed alot. He is doing much better, as he is taking the lactose more often. He said, "that he has been realizing this, but, didn't want to tell anyone. He seemed like he was intoxicated. I am glad that he is back to normal. Hope you are feeling better these days. Take care. Guest guest
: Yes, it is a scary thought... Yes, we need to keep thinking of all the good things Cheryl tells us. What an inspiration she is, and Randy!!!!! Yes, you are lucky you have supportive family with you. And , we need to think of the good afterwards. Waiting is the worse part. Cliff has sister in Florida, don't hear from her much- although, she has written twice. Cliff's brother isn't much support. All my family lives in other states. But, they are as supprtive as they can be. The group is a huge support for me!!! Thanks to all of you. Cliff has alot of great friends in our favor. Have a good evening to all of you. Guest guest
Forgive my ignorance, but outside of drinking milk, how do you get lactose? No, I don’t take it! Maybe that is part of this big time fog! Debby Re: [ ] Brain fog Hi Debby: Yes, that is a very scary thought.... Are you taking lactose? Cliff has been foggy brained, too. Guest guest
Hi Debby: Cliff's doctor gave us a perscription for Lactulose- , I shad wrong spelling. It is called lactulose solution. Ask your Dr. if you can take it... I'm surprize he doesn't tell you about this med. It is to make you have bowel movements. Although, Cliff is regular... This lactulpse, gets rid of the bile, ammonia . instead, of going to the brain. Make sure and ask your Dr. about it. The Dr. wanted him to go at least 3-4 times daily (bathroom). I hope you can take this. Cliff doesn't like the taste. But, one day, I had a small taste . Didn't think it was bad at all. But, it does work. Take care, and let us know how you make out! OK! Guest guest
Hi Gang! I went to ER today after I found blood in my urine. They are treating me for bacterial infections. My doctor said okay to Cipro. I asked 95 times how autoimmune friendly was it. I was distressed cause my two liver counts had doubled since the last test, AST = 87, ALT = 152. They tell me the Cipro will make me sicker before I get better. This was a hard sell. I know so many of you have had accounts much harder than this, but I would be lying if I said I wasnt just a little depressed.
Guest guest
…I think you will be OK. I have taken Cipro several times and it has been OK….you will do OK on it. The reason is because it takes 1 month for every year to heal, and during the healing process your body will retrace previous episodes with those symptoms, along with many others (see Hering's Law of Cures on my website). For example, my brother had Crohn's Disease for 20 years so it took him close to 20 months for his diarrhea symptoms to stop. I had vaginal yeast for over 25 years so it took 2 1/2 years for it to stop. > > I am only able to take 2 tsp. of the VCO as I really bounce off the > walls if I take more. Ensure you do not take coconut oil less than 3 hours prior to bedtime, since it is very energizing and will interfere with your sleep. Is extremely common for candida sufferers since candida produces over 79 different kinds of toxins, but most of those toxins are alcohol. So what you are feeling is like a constant alcoholic hangover because of how alcohol affects the brain, mind and thinking. One of the Candida books I have describe a man who was arrested for drunken driving. He took the breathalyzer test and blew way over the limit. However, this man had never drank any kind of alcohol ever! Later he found out that he had candida, and after doing the program he didn't fail a breathlyzer test. Getting dizzy can be related to candida's alcohol toxins, but it can be caused by other things. Don't be concerned about it however. It will improve as you continue progressing on this program. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee > I am suffering from severe brain fog, it never lifts. I am a week into your diet, which is going ok but the brain fog is so dame hard to deal with. I did have it before so its not new to me. I know its toxins, so do i need to detox more? Im already having epsom salt baths, can you advise on anything else which might help. +++Hi Emma. You should be taking unrefined coconut oil as your only antifungal, and if you start with too much or increase it too fast it will cause more brain fog which is a die-off symptom. So try cutting back on the coconut oil and increase it more slowly. You might need to do the 9-Day Program to get through this bad period of time: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/dig6.php All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Deborah, Brain fog is caused by toxins circulating in the brain. Bee's program will eventually take care of it and give you much more clarity. There's nothing you can do, I'm afraid, to speed up the process. In the meantime, you just need to hang in there. It takes as long as it takes for this symptom to subside. All the best, Group Moderator > > What is the cause of brain fog? Guest guest
Hi Trudy You sound like a star-child, tripping thru the stars. Im kinda like that too - I cant focus too good, so people have coversations 'around' me. But my mind is zipping here and there. Thats me with no drugs, and look at you......your putting some pretty potent stuff in your body right now. Go drink some water. LOL :-) love don in ks TrudyI hate to say; but, I'm not sure to this day if my brain fog has ever lifted. I make a joke about it because I am a blond. However, it is so embarrassing I sure know. I think my short term memory has gotten better, I can almost tell you what I did last night; but, only because I do the same thing every night.Gloria We are always laughing at our Brain Fog. I have ( it seems) no short term memory. Not just focus issues. I will give someone my compete attention and 30 mins later, I won't even remember the conversation . I can't remember yesterday... What I did, what Hubby & I ate, whether we watched tv. No joke, it's really bad. So my question is this...whatever( all?) is tx related, how long after tx does it get better? http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 ""A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.comhttp://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx
Guest guest
As usual, Teri has said it all in this post!! One of the sites that I went to once, recommended some games that are actually very easy; but, it's likely they will be the only ones that your brain will be able to get around. Even forms of solitaire could be difficult; but, recommended.I'm still getting run down by folks that never bothered to get informed about treatment to begin with. Don't let that happen to you!! You might as well get Rick used to the fact that you will be incapable of being super-woman, right now. Then perhaps it won't come as a blow to him.Now here's one for a laugh. I am a bookkeeper for small businesses in my area of the world. Something that a bookkeeper needs the most is her/his mind!!! There were many days during both treatments that I simply didn't have a mind. I didn't contemplate my toes; but, I would stare at the computer and not know what I was supposed to do. I was very busy doing nothing most of the time.Gloria ,You are not late in responding to this one.. no worries. And I think I can put this into perspective for you. Just stay with me on this one okay? Right now, you are experiencing a certain level of brain fog correct? Brain fog can come from a variety of issues but two that are already connected to you are Hep C and Fibromyalgia. Now, to change things up for you a bit and give you a bigger picture... Once you start treatment, things are going to change drastically. The level of brain fog you are experiencing now is a piece of cake compared to what can happen on treatment. Don't get me wrong here, treatment saved my life and I am forever grateful to the doctors and the drugs BUT those damn drugs are vicious and nasty and can throw everything for a loop rather quickly. What I am going to try to describe won't do it justice because really, you have to be there. When you start treatment your brain functions tend to go on vacation. Reading a book may be impossible, it was for me. Following the plot on a one hour long tv show.. impossible, you can follow the commercials real well though and probably for the first time in your life you will look forward to those damn things. Making a point that you have in your head but won't come out of your mouth.. that happens all the time. You know what you mean but the words are totally different as they escape your mouth. Therefore you say something that comes out as complete and utter nonsense but in your mind you have made your point.. until somebody tells you what you just said. I told my son that the garage was flying once. I was trying to tell him that it needed paint. Kinda not the same thing right? There are times when the best you will be able to do is contemplate your toes. And you can spend hours doing just that. I remember having Oprah on tv.. I am not a big Oprah fan but it was entertaining on tx, anyway, she said something about 800 thread count sheets.. so I decided to try to count the threads in my flannel sheets... that kept me busy for a whole day! I never got much past 20 without having to start again but I did that for an entire day. Here is my point. And I do have one. Once your husband sees THIS level of brain fog, there will be no question in his mind as to what is going on. He won't like it, it will upset him and he won't know how to fix it but he will accept it for what it is. That is what Trudy is dealing with right now, only she's doing it with a stutter too! Sorry Trudy, I just had to throw that in there! I couldn't help myself! Hopefully, this will give you a better idea of what will happen versus what is happening. The brain fog I had before treatment, hell, it was there but it was minimal, but, I also didn't have Fibromyalgia before treatment started either. You are already dealing with that and it comes with a level of brain fog as well. Read my response to Gloria and Trudy about dealing with this and other people's comments too.. Hopefully it will help. Anyway it is an ongoing argument I have with my husband. So I don't dare ever say anything is because of hep c anymore. I just ride my way through it and keep my knowledge to myself.
