Chances are, Trudy has been on tx long enough to have stopped the dragon dead in it's tracks. There is always the outside chance that she will rebound. If Trudy were to rebound, then yes there is also a chance that the virus can mutate. Neither of these is a given. The hope is that Trudy has taken enough of the meds to be clear. Her other issues have made treatment way too difficult to tolerate and the idea is that the Hep C even if it were to come back is less of a threat than the rest of the medical issues she is dealing with. And actually, Trudy would only be stopping treatment 3 weeks early. So hopefully, she's good.
