Guest guest
Lindy, I am so glad to hear that you got good news at the doctor today. Hurray for you. I don't go to my doctor until March 16, so I can't drive until then. I did go to PT today and asked her how many sessions I have had so far. She said that I have had 8 and would not probably need more than the 20 my insurance approved. that was good news. I start going only 2 times a week starting next week, so that it will drag it out more and give me the in between time to do the excercises at home. Arianne > > Hi all, > Today I went to see my surgeon for my check-up. It's been 5+ weeks since my THR. I was given the go-ahead to drive, start using a cane, exercise on my NordicTrack Ellipse, etc., etc. I go back in one year, I was actually given an appt. LOL I know what I'll be doing on Jan 22, 2008. ;-) I had 2 x-rays of my joint and it looks great. I am so relieved to know I'm doing as well as I feel. He told me to start going off the pain pills for sure, which I'm doing right away. Next dose will be 1/2 -- 5 mgs. and I will take one every 8 PLUS hours until I can get down to less and less and less and then NONE. I hope to do this w/i one week, I think that's more than doable. I hurt pretty bad right now though because I walked all over that clinic -- the x-ray dept. and my doctor are on different floors and it's a long haul from the parking garage to the offices, etc., etc. Plus, my hubby had his physical to go back on the ship and I went with him inside that clinic, so I got my exercise for the day and now, I'm ready for a nice nap. BUT, I have to stay awake til at least 7p Central, so I can watch The Young and Restless on Soapnet. :-) > Talk to you all later . . . Have a nice evening/morning/whatever. > Hugs . . . > Lindy Lou > Right THR 1/22/2007 >
Guest guest
Well I saw my last blood test, a few bad things on it: Platelet count = Microclots does anybody know what this means? It has always been a number. Iron Panel: Iron, Total = 271 Iron Binding capability = 362 Stauration = 75 does anybody know what this means, I was told my iron is very high, but is this too much iron, like iron overload or something? Also in today's blood test, my blood stopped flowing, this is should never happen, right? They had to poke the other arm, no matter how pretty the nurse is, the needle still hurts:( I also talked to the doc about the stomach issues, my stomach is still very swollen and hurts, and strangely I gained about 10 pounds since yesterday, which is weird. Next I will get a cat scan on my brian I have to see a neurologist, and will have to get an ultra-sound again. well that is ll for now, so tired, Hugs, ny
