Guest guest
I contacted the Western Institutional Review Board again to complain about the liver center, and the lack of care I have been getting from them. It says on their website http://www.wirb.com/ that there mission is:The mission of the Western Institutional Review Board is to Protect the Rights and Welfare of the Human Research Subject. To accomplish our mission, we strive to:Ensure that the risks of scientific advancement shall never outweigh the value of human lifeFollow our traditions while embracing new technologies and practicesMaintain appropriate ethical conduct and regulatory complianceHonor our hallmark of respect for all personsEngage in a continuing quest for excellenceI am sad to say that after complaining about the liver center and all the health issues I suffered from this trial, they are on the side of the Liver Center and Roche. I am told from them how important it is to keep seeing the trial doctor at the liver center so he can report my medical issues to Roche and then they will see if I will get the medical tests to see what is wrong, and the medical attention to fix them.I had them destroy my blood samples, but they are still using them, what the Liver Center and Roche has done to me should be criminal!I have to ask whose side are they on, they are suppose to protect people from having problems like I am having, but it is clearly not the case!My next step is to contact the FDA,a s I found this site for them:http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/byAudience/ForPatientAdvocates/default.htmIs this the right site to file a complaint with the FDA against the Western Institutional Review Board and the Liver Center?thanks,Hugs, ny
Guest guest
ny,This is EXACTLY where you need to be complaining. THESE are the people who approve the drugs that the clinical trial is pushing. Roche does NOT want these people pissed off. The FDA is the ultimate regulatory board on all new and current drugs on the market and pending clinical trials. You need to get all your information together and present it to them clearly and factually. Start writing things down. Go back to the beginning, from when you were dx'd with hep c and pushed into that clinical trial. Write down all the information from way back then.. going thru the 24 weeks or so that you took the meds and what your issues and side effects were and how the clinic did or did not handle your side effects. All the way to where you are at now. What has been done and what has not been done. When you have all of this together, then you can present it to the FDA. You may need help on this one dude. This has to be spot on. I know you have contacted legal counsel. Talk to him about this.
