Guest guest
I had no clue that for a second round of tx the chances of SVR were that low... I was actually shocked. I just found this out yesterday. On Fri, Jan 21, 2011 at 4:25 PM, Christ <ludichrist2000@...> wrote: Thanks Teri Yes I know all this stuff, and about the stand alone anti-virals in clinical trials right now. I havent given up hope that one day I can do some sort of treatment, and get rid of this bugger in my body. I go see my GP next month, and I am going to ask for the IL28B gene test also with my regular labs, to see if I could be one of those who would possibly reach SVR using the 3D TX. More ammo for my doctors to think about if I am positive, Im guessing. By the time I see my Gastro this fall, I will have been on hold for treatment for 3 years. I just worry that my body wont hold out for treatment if I wait too long, and I end up on a stupid transplant list, or worse, with HCC cancer. 'That' would be a real drag. My heart-doc took me off my heart meds over 6 months ago, and I was thinking that that was a good sign, but now Im not too sure. I still have to go into the hospital each week and have heart tests. I dont know what they are watching or looking for. All I know for sure, and they keep repeating is that the Interferon could possibly kill me. They say that and I shut up, and any questions I have are forgotten. I am trusting that the doctors know what they are doing, and will do their best for me. Meanwhile, I have a slice of chocolate cake in the fridge waiting for me. yummy LOL :-) love don in ks News 7 new results for hepatitis c FDA awards Vertex speedy review for hepatitis C drug Bizjournals.com“We look forward to working with the FDA and Health Canada to make telaprevir available as quickly as possible for people with hepatitis C.” Vertex is ...
