  • 5 years later...

We had birds fall from the sky here too...  when the BEARS beat the SEAHAWKS!  Oh, I had to do that to mess with Debbie Curwick and Steve!  Actually, that weekend a lot of birds fell...  Ravens fell in Pittsburgh and Falcons fell in Atlanta!  LOL!

Actually, I heard about that bird thing in MD..  I'd have freaked.  Hugs,TeriOn Sat, Jan 22, 2011 at 4:57 AM, Betty Himes <stayhungryforlife@...> wrote:

Do DO DO DO, WE had an incident in MD recently where there was thousand of birds litterally just fell out the sky together and covered a huge span of land when they fell, well if thats not weird enough, they discovered that in close proximty to the birds there was water and they found thousands of fish floating dead. Both the sky and the water at the same time. Then they said that maybe the birds where struck by lightning or SOMETHING, well what happen to the fish then?? OMG Thank God you weren't around when they all started to fall. LOL Betty

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Trudy, you have no idea...  Bruce and I took his kids to the zoo once..  it was actually the first time I met his daughter Cady..  we were in one of the exhibit buildings at Brookfield Zoo..  I think it was the Australia building or something..  anyway, we go thru this whole building, we're having a gay old time and the last room is this HUGE open area..  closed in but a two story open area with real trees and whatever animals were supposed to be in there..  and near the ceiling these damn birds are flying around..  in the room!  In the same damn room I am in.  PANIC sheer and utter panic on my part.  Luckily, Bruce knew about my fear already and he saw the birds...  he distracted his kids... I backed up to the wall and inched my way out of the building without ever taking my eyes off those stupid birds that I was sure were going to attack me at any second.  Honest to God, try to

picture this...  get the whole visual.  A room full of people..  a couple of birds flying near the ceiling..  whatever animals that were part of the exhibit in the trees on one side of the room.. me, flat against the wall on the opposite side of the room... hands on the wall, back against the wall.. inching my way out of there.  Trying NOT to scream bloody murder.  Bruce has his kids on the other side of the room looking at the animals...  smart guy..  I make it out of the building, shaking so badly that trying to light a smoke was almost impossible.  About 5 minutes later Bruce brings the kids outside and I have almost got myself composed...  then little Jake says " Lets go to the Bird House next! "  They had no clue what had just had just happened.  Bruce starts to laugh..  I started to cry.  Real tears..  great big crocodile tears!  I am now crying like a baby..  And

then we had to explain it all to the kids!  And little Jakes next comment..   " So are we going to the Bird House or not? "  The kids still laugh about that day at the zoo... me, not so much.  Jake will tell you now that they should have taken that as a warning as to what life with me would be like!  Thank GOD they love me!

Hugs,

Teri

Thouht of you today,Teri . As we were going to Drs we topped a little rise in the road. Holy Bird poo, Batman! Honest the sky was dark as far as we could see. Literally, thousands of birds flying around, circling. An entire " group " would rise and swoop in unison. THEN we saw the wheat fields were black! Again, thousands of birds were on the ground. And the birds in flight, you ask?? They were waiting and looking for thier turn to land! It was awesome although a little spooky. Do you think something like this is what inspired Alfred Hitchcok ??

be careful, be very careful, soon the birds will head north again...the sun will be darkened by all the birds coming to the Chicago area!http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877   "        " A well- behaved woman never made history " ...Mae West

AS for the birds..  think of the Alfred Hitchcock movie....  THAT is what gave me my fear of birds....  that and getting attacked by a McCaw when I was a kid!

Kansas sucks.

I swore I would never live here, but here is where I find myself.

How did that happen?

Well, at least Im not in the middle of a huge city.

I can almost look out my window and see a cowpie. LOL :-)

Anyone want to adopt an old hippy?

Im just funnin.
