Guest guest
le,First off take a deep breath... now do it again. All the symptoms you are describing are side effects from the treatment. They WILL go away. Everything from the sty to the leg cramps, nausea, the anxiety all of it.. It will get better. You say you have pills left. Usually after your last shot, you still take the Ribavirin for a week. That's why the extra pills. Once you are completely done with the meds, you will start to slowly feel better. It won't happen overnight, you've been taking some pretty intense medications for 48 weeks. All of those meds need to get out of your system. The first symptom to go away for me was the nausea and crazy pains. Then slowly, I got my strength back and everything else kind of leveled off. Food starts tasting normal again pretty quickly as well. The side effects you are describing sound a whole lot like what I experienced and I was severely dehydrated. Are you drinking enough water? You should be taking in a minimum of a gallon of water a day. That's in addition to any other liquids you might be drinking... My guess is you're not taking in enough water.. am I right? It's going to be imperative that you get fluids in you both now and when treatment is over. When you are done, it is important to get the fluids so you can flush the medications out of your system. It will take weeks to months for all of the medication to leave your system. BUT you will start feeling better after the first few weeks. Hope this helps,Hugs,Teri On Tue, Jan 18, 2011 at 9:00 AM, danielle <kostasmom907@...> wrote: Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am almost done with this hell of a tx. I am super dizzy alll the time, I have had an mri ad it is normal. Trowing up and stomach pains, I have had cat scans and ultra sounds all normal. Chest pains, and i had a stess test and echo for that all again normal, except they say i now have a murrmer. Dry skin blurry vision, a stye in my eye that just wont go away, even with the drops rx for the dr. hair loss, mostly from it breaking off and becoming thin, i just cut my hair and that seems to help. And the anxity has pretty much turned me into a hermit. Now on top of it all I am gettting these like stabbing pains in my crotch, it really feels like some one is stabbing me with a knfe they last for a few days and then go away, foling about 10 days of bad leg cramps. I am 31 and feel like Im 80. I have lost total control of my children 6 (with autism ) and 3 ( with an attitude ) I went to bed feeling like a peice of shit, and sent them off to school feeling much worse. I just want my life back, so I hope that this fades away quick. Sorry for ranting but sometimes i feel like im going to pop. I was no detectiblul at 12 weeks, I have noticed that i have to many pills left over, so i hope this works and i did not screw it up. Guest guest
As far as pills leftover, you didnot screw it up. Don't know how but we often have pills leftover. Myself. ; I have a full bottle of 138 leftover. And I never missed a dose. Pharm says not possible. Ok Fine! The others will help fill-in with lift after tx. Im not there yet.http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " "A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx On Jan 18, 2011, at 9:00 AM, "danielle" <kostasmom907@...> wrote: Hope everyone had a great weekend. Guest guest
I had a couple of bottles left over Trudy... the other thing is that after the shots stop, you normally take the Ribavirin for another week. But no matter HOW they counted I had way too many left over too! On Tue, Jan 18, 2011 at 1:39 PM, trudykinsey@... <trudykinsey@...> wrote: As far as pills leftover, you didnot screw it up. Guest guest
leWhat a winner you are!! Look what you have accomplished with your treatment. I know that I could not have dealt with a 3 yrs or a 6 yr old, period. Never mind one with autism. Now, it takes a little while for your body to shed all of the tx. Things won't change all at once; but, after a little time, you will notice that you have just a little bit more energy or you haven't thrown up in a couple of weeks etc. When I was on the clinical, I developed some kind of weird rash in my crotch. It would hurt like hell; but, was soooo itchy. Finally, I was prescribed some kind of cream and it helped only a little. Once I was off tx, it went away.Personally, I believe those last few weeks (well starting at week 36) were the hardest to get through. I was tired of the shots, I was fed up being an emotional basket case and sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!!! However, I didn't like what I was told 2 weeks after tx ended. That's when they told me that I definitely had liver cancer. Now, I'm much older than you and likely had the chronic infection long than you, so don't make anything out of my telling you that. Even the percentage of people who will get cancer after the liver has been cirrhotic, is very small. For you, pat yourself on the back that you even got this far. Then, hug both of your kids at the same time and just tell them how much you love them. Children bounce back a whole lot faster than say a husband (or at least mine). It honestly will be over real soon now.Gloria Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am almost done with this hell of a tx. Febuary 17th will be shot 48 and I cant wait. Guest guest
Even when I finished the trial, I had pills left over. No one was concerned and especially since I had to return them. I suspect that not every bottle is the exact count it's supposed to be.Gloria As far as pills leftover, you didnot screw it up. Don't know how but we often have pills leftover.
