Got a recipe for nettle tea

Nourishing Daily Blend:

1 part burdock root

1 part chamomile flowers

1 part nettle leaves

1 part oatstraw

1 part red clover blossoms

1/10 part cinnamon chips (optional)

Add the burdock root to boiling water, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 to 20

minutes in a covered pot. Turn off the heat and add the rest of the herbs.

Stir well, cover; and steep 15 to 20 minutes more. This recipe tastes great

with cinnamon added, but if you are drinking it daily, only add the cinnamon

occasionally, as it's too strong and drying for daily use.

Wild Nettle Chowder

1/2 tsp olive oil marsala or sherry to taste

1 onion, chopped tamari to taste

3 carrots chopped 2 baked potatoes, peeled

4 cups fresh nettles, fresh or dried dill weed and tarragon to taste

washed and chopped

1. heat the olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. gently saute the onions for 5 minutes, stirring often.

2. add the carrots, nettles, and a few dashes of the marsala or sherry. cover pan and steam for 5 minutes, stirring once or twice.

3. add a dash or two of tamari, and more liquid (sherry, marsala, or water) as needed.

4. place ingredients in a blender add the potatoes, andpuree until smooth, add water as needed to facilitate blending.

5. season with the dill and tarragon. serve plain or garnish with a dollop of sour cream.
