Guest guest
Hi , Hope you and the family are well. Itching can be a symptom of diabetes. I am not diabetic as far as I know but it is around me.My father and one brother are insulin dependent and my son was just diagnosed as being hypogylcemic. I have always suffered from immense itching and I suspect with me it is geared towards my diet. I tend to eat badly when overtired and overstressed. Carl needs to get off those sweets and dump that sugar. He is wrecking havoc on his blood sugar. Most likely I would say that the sweets are contributing to that itching in a big way. Does he monitor his sugar? I am willing to bet he would see improvement by subbing some healthy choices instead of all that refined junk. I would imagine that Too much candida in the body will produce itching too. That junk food does nothing good for us in the long run well..duh..lol All the best to you Blessings, Tone Hi All Carl (dh) always gets itchy legs and ankles/feet. He scratches until he breaks the skin and bleeds. It is also swollen and he feels tired. He is diabetic and does eat sugar/sweets. Is the itching from the diabetes? What can I give him to help stop the itch and heal inside and out? He has been putting Hemp Honey Healing Balm on it since last night. He normally uses his own bush medicine he makes up on it but it is not helping much as it dries tight and probably makes the itch worse. Guest guest
Hi Tone That's what I thought too. Speaking of junk food and sugar I have the same problem but I don't itch I just eat a whole 250g block of chocolate by myself almost everyday. It is disgusting I am trying to loose some weight but can't be strict cause I'm breastfeeding. Trying to slowing make some improvements back to where we were 12 months ago when I first joined this list and we all got off heaps of things that we are all now back on. Have started exercising so hopefully feeling a bit better there will help with the other addictions. Also time to eat is a big problem still as baby feeds a lot and I don't get time to eat properly. I will really have to start getting us all back healthy again one step at a time. Thanks & Blessings Tracey
Guest guest
Tracey, You have your hands full there that is for sure. My father was like that with his chocolate. Though he generally is not a big sweet eater he did love his chocolate every night. Now he knows he cannot do that anymore. I tell ya though if a doctor says it to him ,then it is so. I'll be like "I told you that" lol I'm sure you will jump right back on track. Just take care of yourself while caring for that family too. Itching caused by internal means is really hard to get rid of. I know I scratch myself to death as well. I have also used benadryl to stop the insanity and also would soak in aveeno and such. Of course not suggesting benadryl but that is what I 'used' to do. I guess telling Carl to stop eating sugar and he will stop itching would be easier said then done. Unless he is one of those guys that really listens I think it is nighttime by you right? Have a wonderful and peaceful night Tracey All blessings, Tone
Guest guest
Hi Tone Yeah it is just about midnight and I am the only one awake. Need time to chill out after they all go to sleep and this stupid 'daylight saving' has the kids awake to late. The thing that really gets to me is that I keep bringing the kids into my (our) binges of bad eating etc. Not good, get them off it then let them have it again. A bit confusing to say the least. Oh well start the changes again slowly while they are still young. They are really accepting kids and don't really make much fuss about things. They drink heaps of water and not much else which is good. Have a great day. Blessings Tracey
Guest guest
I found milk-free chocolate in a Kosher Jewish foods store, and I prefer it over than milk chocolate (health concerns) ----- Original Message ----- From: Rainbow Egret health Sent: Saturday, November 12, 2005 7:20 AM Subject: Re: Itchy Legs & Feet Hi Tone That's what I thought too. Guest guest
I am fighting to eat better too Tracey. A world wide plague of poor eatery! I find that eating more fruit helps to keep off the sweets. I give DH a glass of fresh apple juice at dinner and he forgets the ice cream after. A bowl of grapes substitutes for a bar of chocolate. It is a tough battle sometimes!
