Guest guest
Hi all, I've searched the files and the internet but couldn't find an answer. I wondered what conditions create a niacin flush? I ask because I take 100mg every night, but only occasionally experience a flush. I hadn't had one in a couple of weeks, then got one last night. At the start of the program they occurred more regularly, and very occasionally I will get it two nights in a row. So it seems there are conditions that the body needs to be in before a flush will occur. Any ideas?
Guest guest
Your body adjusts to it over time. I posted a link to a great article recently for someone else. Do a search on here and you'll find it. Doug

Do not be concerned about what conditions are required to cause a flush; just keep taking niacin consistently and when the flush occurs that's okay and if it doesn't occur that is fine too. Even if you do not get a flush niacin is still benefitting you. You can increase your niacin dose 25 mg per day when it seems like you aren't getting a flush after 5 days on your current dose.
