Guest guest
Kathy, how are you with hot stuff and garlic? My first reaction is of course Complete Tonic. If you don't have any, how about ceyanne and garlic? Tinctures or swallow chopped stuff with a mouthful of water, several times a day. In addition to being great immune system builders, they also break up congestion in the head and chest, and if taked early enough, is reputed to stop a major infection (bronchitis or sinusitis) before it starts. Peace, love, laughter If the world was run on 'giggle juice' just think of the fun we could have every day!! angeldestiny <angeldestiny@...> wrote: Anyone have any ideas for a cold. Guest guest
Garlic is my best friend when I'm sick. I once had a NASTY cold and had to take care of a little one... I ate 1/2 clove of garlic every hour and it kept my head mostly mucous free the entire hour. No coughing either. Once the hour was almost up it'd all start coming back and I'd eat another 1/2 clove. The hubby said it's a good thing my head was stuffed up..... he WISHED he couldn't smell me. Ha ha ha Never tried cayenne with a cold.... will definately do that with my next one. I know if I even eat MEDIUM salsa I have a beat red face with snot running down so I bet cayenne would clear my head nicely. : ) Candace -----Original Message-----From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of Sent: Saturday, December 03, 2005 10:04 AMhealth Subject: Re: akk...got a cold/flu Kathy, how are you with hot stuff and garlic? Guest guest
Kathy, it is so easy to make cayenne tincture. There's no need to look all over creation to buy it. Just get a handful of very hot peppers from the grocery store (habaneros, scotch bonnets, etc.), chop them roughly and stick them in a mason jar, then cover with vodka and let sit for a couple of weeks in a dark spot. Shake them once in a while. That's all there is to it. I'd be happy to stick a bottle in the mail to you if you'd like. Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of angeldestiny Our problem is that so far....cayenne tincture has been illusive to us. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Marilyn has a real bad head cold at the moment. The Tonic isn't even touching the sinus pressure and congestion. So I have her taking between 1/2 and 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder in a glass of water a few times a day. Seems to help more than ibuprophin and decongestants. Guest guest
What do you mean? I have a sore throat, laryngitis, headache, tight chest, sneezing, coughing up stuff and my nose is starting to run as well. My lips are so dry that every time I sneeze I split my lip and it starts to bleed.....ouchie. I feel awful.....just want to go to bed. I was thinking I picked this up when I went to the dentist last week because it left a canker adn every time I get one of those I tend to get sick.......you don't think so though???? hmmm. My 4 year old is sick too though. Hubby didn't get a chance to get me some more garlic either.....found out the landlord is coming to change some things on the fuse box and have been cleaning the basement/ teens bedroom/ family area most of the day....in between having 5 kids running around getting in the way....lol.
