A few of you mentioned that you put food in a thermos. Where did you get the

thermos? I just came back from Walmart and they only had thermoses for liquids,

and one for food, but the one for food was so narrow you couldn't fit anything

in there. On Wednesday nights I have my parenting support group, and this past

Wednesday I took some cold chicken. It worked out great! I wasn't too upset

watching everyone else there chowing down on the foods they provided at the

group, since baked chicken is one of my favorite foods. But I had to put it in

some tupperware as that's all I have, and I'm not sure that's really safe. As I

had feared, I did stick out like a sore thumb, having my own food there. People

kept asking me what was wrong. I kept saying, " I'm on a diet for medical

reasons " because I found if you just say, " I'm on a diet " people will still try

to get you to eat their food. But other than repeating myself, I wasn't that

uncomfortable after all. And after another meeting or two, people will probably

stop asking me because they'll know what I'm doing.

I got one like this one, only from somewhere else online. I don't

remember where, though. The only thing I don't like about it is that

the little containers are plastic. Other than that, it works well.

I've never had food in it for many hours at a time, though, so I can't

vouch for how long it keeps things warm.

, I so happy you had a good comeback to say to poeple about

taking your own foods! Well done my friend.

There are good stainless steel wide-mouth thermoses.
