Guest guest
So, I have a friend who had her baby at 30 weeks. The baby was doing well, then one day she thought he was acting a little sluggish, she got a call saying her baby was transferred to Hamiltons sick kids. He had an MRI done and they found candida in the brain. They have the baby on an anti-fungal. They said they don't know what to expect perhaps some learning disabilities and motor problems The baby is 6 mos now and has been developing " typical " . She has him on commercial formula (I am passing on Bees formula receipe) right now. She has vaccinated him and is worried about the 1 year, -6 mos from now. I would like any advice I can give her. I am fwd. this group and bee's site to her. How does it get " in the brain " ? The nurse mentioned we should have bathed him, He wasn't washed I guess at first, but mom doesnt' know She doesn't think he got it from her, doesn't all babies get it from their mother?. They don't know why he was premature. Again any other advice is appreciated! Thanks.
