Guest guest
Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. My daughter takes a tab. a day in juice,so do the the people at " Earthworks " and it has really helped her, her hair has grown so much, and it gives her a lot of energy. It dissolves in any liquid, we put it in juice. It helps the joints, Lowers cholesterol and Blood pressure. It is also good for Organic insect control, which is why we ordered it in the first place not realizing how much it could really do. Their website is www.earthworkswhealth.com It's a lot less money than the products from the health stores.
Guest guest
, I have checked out this site and WOW. This looks like awesome stuff and I have ordered some for myself. I am excited and hope to get the same results others have seen. Do you know where it comes from? I want to try to estimate how soon I will get it. ________________________________ From: Gragg <librascorpiomoon@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Sat, August 7, 2010 12:05:34 PM Subject: Re:silica  Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Hi , Would this be a problem if taking it for a short while just to clean out initially. I saw the first post and was considering buying some. I usually dowse anything I take to see when to stop. Do you think it would be OK to take the DE powder for a short while and then change to horsetail, and does the horsetail clean your intestines like the DE powder as well as providing Silica ? Thanks Regards Ruth ________________________________ From: <@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Mon, 9 August, 2010 16:02:32 Subject: Re:silica I heard DE powder, food grade, can be quite sharp for intestines. Guest guest
My understanding from earlier reading is that silica in horsetail is bioavailable if harvested from very young plants, and as the plants age the silica crystallizes some and that is an irritant to the urinary tract and kidneys. I didn't see anything about about bowel danger or scrubbing but mature horsetails were traditionally used for scouring pots due to their crystalline silica content. all good, Duncan > > > Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Silica is slightly poisonous. If the content is not extracted properly, long term use will affect the kidney. Guest guest
Sure the supplements might contain more bioavailable silica than most other pills and raw sources. Baby horsetail however you can gather and put in a salad; they are good tasting and very mild. all good, Duncan > > > > Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Horsetail is not to be taken long term. It can cause irreparable damage to the kidneys. Those with diabetes and kidney trouble should not take it. At the seminar we attended for tooth regeneration we were told to take it no more than ten days. Please google it before you take it. > > > Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Horsetail grass, the plant itself, is poisonous and should not be taken long term. However, extracted with Dr. Kervan's method, the extract can be taken long term without any negative side effects. I, actually my whole family including my parents at 92 and 87, have been using it for more than 18 years. Joe > > > > Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Is there any other information about diatomaceous earth besides the website you refer to that has information on this product? I received my order and have taken two doses per day for two days. But I do not know what a dose really is. It came as a powder and so I just take a soup spoon and scoop, which probably amounts to a rounded measured tablespoon. ________________________________ From: Gragg <librascorpiomoon@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Sat, August 7, 2010 12:05:34 PM Subject: Re:silica  Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Diatomaceous Earth my be a source of available silica, but not a very good one. My favorite, outside of organic foods, is Megahydrate, a silica hydride, as discovered by Dr. Flanagan . This stuff is awesome. When you put a small amount of it in water or juice, it immediately reduces its surface tension ( absorbability ) many times and its Oxygen Reduction Potential to between -600 and -800 according to how much you put in. I have been using this product for almost ten years now and continue to be amazed by its qualities. Read about it at http :// www . megahydrate .com/why_take_ megahydrate . html This is not just hype, it really makes you feel better when you are not well immediately.Unfortunately, it was once marketed as a MLM product and got a bad rep. The cheapest source that I have found recently is: http :// www . globalhealingcenter .com/ megahydrate -antioxidant-supplement. php $20.95 for 60 caps. Until recently, I could purchase it in bulk, but this has apparently stopped. I empty the caps into the container and tiny scoop it into my green tea every morning. No exaggeration... the effects can be felt immediately. >Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica. Guest guest
Hmmm. Interesting input. But since I am just starting with DE, (this is my third day) I will just give this product a go. I know it is doing stuff already, so am anxious to see how it is after a month. I do not know exactly what you mean when you say " it really makes you feel better when you are not well immediately. "  So you can elaborate more if you want. I never knew I was particularly sick, though I had many crazy symptoms for most of my life and the frequency and combinations were getting greater and so I had been feeling worse.  A friend did reflexology on my feet three and a half years ago and it was the worse experience of my life. I kept saying, how can this be so painful all over both feet when I am not sick? Well, since then, my life has changed dramatically. Detoxification became a household word I was familiar with for the first time and so I have been on the road to getting better. I am much farther along than I was at the start, and I was slow at knowing the right choices to make in the first year so progress was slow. But the last time she did my feet, (Feb) there was just about no pain in any pressure points on either foot. YEAH! She was amazed at my progress. Amazed, because I don't think she thought " I had the stuff "  to make such huge changes in my health. I know my health is not righted yet, so I am still on the lookout for what will get me all the way. All my nails have been stubs for a long time. Though, seven fingernails are growing now, three are still stubs. This happy change occurred when I started eating VCO a month ago, so I will keep this up. My hair has been falling out for five years, so that condition has not been changed. So I am looking for what will stop that worsening condition. I have done some research on my own and was told of a few different things on here, too. But money is too tight right now and when I looked at DE and saw how inexpensive it is, that is the road I decided to ride down for awhile. I ordered DE and started it two days ago. ________________________________ From: huuman60%40comcast.net <huuman60@...> Coconut Oil Cc: godisbest4me@... Guest guest
After taking a look at Megahydrate web info, I can't see where this is a good source of silca. Conditions successfully treated seem to be of an anti-oxidant and/or hydration nature. Not being a chemist, I don't know if I'm missing something in the biological process. Could you explain more how Megahydrate is a better source of silca than DE. Thank you. Guest guest
I like MegaHydrate; is the pure puffed silica in it bioavailable? I don't think it will be, but I would believe Phi Sciences' info over anything from Royal Body Care, the MLM company that sells it as Microhydrin. I stopped selling RBC products when they divorced MegaHydrate inventor Pat Flanagan. all good, Duncan > > > Diatomaceous Earth my be a source of available silica, but not a very good one. Read about it at http :// www . megahydrate .com/why_take_ megahydrate . html > This is not just hype, it really makes you feel better when you are not well immediately.Unfortunately, it was once marketed as a MLM product and got a bad rep. > > > The cheapest source that I have found recently is: http :// www . globalhealingcenter .com/ megahydrate -antioxidant-supplement. php > $20.95 for 60 caps. Until recently, I could purchase it in bulk, but this has apparently stopped. I empty the caps into the container and tiny scoop it into my green tea every morning. No exaggeration... the effects can be felt immediately. > > > >Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a source of available silica.
