Guest guest
Good Morning Bee and all, Today I saw my optometrist for a routine eye checkup, he told me that I have blepharitis, which I already susptected. Here's why: For the past 4 months I've been having problems with my eyes; every morning the eyelids are swollen the right one is has always been worse than the left. I always have pain in the right eye and it gets worse with movement, the lower eyelid is droopy, very dry and sore. There are days that I can't even wash my face because of the pain/sensetivity. This also caused me to have terible headaches. I have tried the eye treatment as directed in the files but the blepharitis has not cleared up, today the doctor give me eye drops (antibiotics) to use 3 X per day for 7 days. Is there anything else I could do instead of using the drops? One other thing that he suggested that has me worried and depressed is that I should be thinking of getting an eye operation to install a permanent contact lense in, I'm too confused, depressed and having brain fog to remember why I would benefit from such surgery. Bee and all if you have suggestion that I can try please let me know. Have a great day everyone, Maddalena

Blepharitis is caused by candida overgrowth in the eyes, and because you're blind I would expect you to go through a lot of retracing with your eyes. Have you tried the baking soda or nystatin powder eye rinses? Luv & Hugs, Bee
Guest guest
> > Yes, Bee. I've tried the baking soda rinses at different times over the four months period for seven days each time and it didn't help. However, I didn't try the nystatin powder rinse yet, will ask the doctor for a prescription. ==>Hi Maddalena. Yes, see if the doctor will perscribe nystatin powder, but be sure he gets the correct powder that is intended for internal use, and that it doesn't contain sugar. Also pharmacists can dispense the wrong product as well, so you have to double check it. I suggest you print out the Nystatin article and take it with you when you see the doctor. Don't forget that an infection like Blepharitis is also evidence the body is trying hard to heal the area, so do not be too alarmed with the symptoms. > > How is your moving coming along? ==>Thanks for asking my dear. It is very very tough! I've lived here for 10 years and since I'm probably moving to the condo my daughter and husband are buying this Fall in London, Ontario I am downsizing a lot! I've already packed 14 boxes for a garage sale! Since I live on the 3rd floor at the end of a very long wing of the building, with no elevator, I'm getting my exercise! When I get boxes it takes at least 3 trips up and down to get them into my place. Whew! As it gets closer to my move date, which is April 26th, I may have less time on this group but I will let everyone know. My question is: Can I use 1 1/2 tsp. of baking soda in the same amount of distilled water since 1 tsp. hasn't worked for me in the past? ==>Yes you can mix 1 1/2 tsp. of baking soda for eye treatments. > Good luck with your move, take care. Guest guest
Hi There: ***Is your name ? We like to go by first names here. > I'm a 21 year female in 'reasonably' good health.. I've decided to try the candida diet (am taking nystatin currently along w/other supplements).. ***Bee's Candida diet is very different from other Candida diets. And she does not recommend taking Nystatin.... and your supplements may not be what she recommends either. So let me make sure you have a chance to read some very important info on her diet. Please ensure you read two important articles so you understand candida, and know what you need to do and why: How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The only way to cure candida: Candida cannot be cured by " killing it off. " It just doesn't work that way. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), Eliminating damaging foods, and Eliminating toxins in general. When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically " make " candida (or any bug, cancer, etc.) change back into the microbe it was before. I'm not sure if any members are currently dealing with a " diagnosis " of the eye-thing you mentioned (sorry, I lost that part of your message when I pasted the articles above). But, many folks have had eye-related symptoms that are healing and I know Bee would not recommend taking the steroids your " doctors- who- aren't- really- sure- what- have- but- want- to- prescribe- something- toxic- anyway " are suggesting... Hope this helps! Marissa ( a group moderator)
