Clove(Laung): Medicinal Properties: Muscular Cramps: Apply clove oil on the affected areas. Cholera: Drink a decoction of cloves regularly. Nausea: Chew a clove. Gum ailments,Teeth ailments: Powder of roasted cloves is mixed in 1 teacup lukewarm water and used for gargling frequently. Headache: Make a smooth paste of cloves water and salt.Apply on the temples(sides). Heaviness in head

due to cough and cold: Grind 2-3 cloves into a fine paste along with 1/2 tsp dried ginger and apply on nose and forehead. Toothache:Soak a piece of cotton wool in few drops of clove oil.Press on the affected tooth.Crush a clove and put it on the affected tooth. Throat irritation due to coughing: Chew 1-2 cloves. Bronchial Afflictions: Boil 6-8 cloves in 1 cup water.A teaspoon of this decoction to be taken with honey frequently.

i have a whole lb. of cloves and would like to know a good way to preserve them...so that they will not get too old to use up. anyone help?diana-- love is all there is...

Freeze them in doubled zip lock bags.

I have a "seal a meal" that sucks all the air out of the pkg... I store alot that way.. otherwise I would suggest a jar over plastic. and keep it out of the light and heat... That is exactly my experience ,, if the bottles are airtight all

that fizz remains. but you are also leaving yourself open for

explosions especially when you have the amount of fizz that mine

produces. None of my grolsch bottles ever exploded, but losing

about half the brew in the gushers was enough to make me stop using

them after a very short period of time. Perhaps had I used them

longer I may have had an explosion. It just wasn't worth the risk to me

for either reason.

I rarely ever bottle my brew, but when there is excess and its about

to go to vinegar I will take off enough to be able to top up the

tank. That excess goes into the canning jars with the plastic lids and

straight into the fridge, which then holds it to the drinkable stage

for lots longer.
