Hi~

I too have been wondering about gift baskets, about exactly how to price. Do

you keep the prices the same as the individual products, add them all

together and add the price of the basket, or do you lower it a little or

raise it a little... help! I need details! :o)

Blessings~

> . Anyone want some of my cayenne candy now ? LOL

Some people think cayenne candy is bad!

I saw a programme once where they were making old fashioned boiled

sweets/hard candy. They said in the nineteenth century to get the

colours they used to put all sorts of toxic substances into the candy,

such as arsenic, can't remember what else, saw it awhile ago now.

So it was even more true then that sweets were bad for you.

Food manufacturers were trying to kill everyone further back than we

first thought. lol.

Hi All -

We have been chatting a lot about the healing PROCESS. When we are

completely HEALED - can we eat candy again? I miss gummy bears :( -

(or is that the candida talking??)

Hi ,

I've been wondering the same thing. I know my lifestyle will be

changed forever, but I also need something to " look forward to " (as if

feeling healthy isin't enough :) Is there a file about integrating

things like fruit and such that I am missing?

At least once per month, I'm going to eat " normal " food. While I

plan on eating sensibly after I'm better, I also plan on indulging on

special occasions with family and friends, so we're not known

as " those people who are food freaks. " :)

For the first 3.5 months of the diet, I didn't cheat at all. When

Bee said one could cheat once per week within a 2 hour window, I

decided to have small-scale cheats (hamburger and fries with mustard,

mayo & ketchup... sometimes with only 1/2 bun) within a 30 minute

window. According to her calculations, I'm still eating 95% on plan,

and it shouldn't interfere in my healing.

However, it is a slippery slope, so one shouldn't try to cheat if

they have eating disorders or food issues, because it could cause a

relapse. I've never really had food issues. I have had " beer

issues " and have not had any alcohol whatsoever in almost 6 months,

and do not want to even go there!

So after you have been on the diet for several months... AND YOU CAN

HANDLE IT... at least monthly eat something you would like to eat in

the future, as a way to keep your body from totally rejecting it in

the future. It's a good way to guage your progress too.

HOWEVER... it should be noted that NOT CHEATING is much wiser and

will most likely lead to faster recovery AND less chance of relapsing!

==>Hi . Yes you can have gummy bears, but not as a main staple of

your diet. :) To maintain lifelong health you need to follow the basic

principles of this program, by ensuring you get proper nutrients most

of the time so your body has the elements it requires to maintain

health. There can still be setbacks due to stress, or over-exposure to

toxins, etc. but because of this program you will know what to do to

get back on track very quickly.

I cured my candida when I was 47 years old, and for my 50th birthday my

daughter took me out on the town. I had quite a few drinks, a great

meal, lots of rich dessert and danced the night away! In preparation

for drinking I took extra B complex, and drank lots of water when I got

home about 4:00 AM. At 9:00 AM I was up and at it, with no ill

effects. I didn't even have a hangover. My daughter did, and she

said " Mom, you didn't even have the decency to have a good hangover

after all that drinking and fun! " LOL!

The keys to future health are mainly: 1) proper nutrients most of the

time, 2) elimination of toxins, particularly in foods, including any

and all drugs and over-the-counter-medicine, and 3) treating any

illness with nutrients and natural substances. Stress can always cause

health issues too, but your body is better able to handle them without

getting sick or becoming debilitated if it gets proper nutrients.

Luv, Bee

==>Amy, I haven't written about integrating other foods but it would be

a good idea. I have posted messages about how to add foods however, so

you may find them in the message archives.

When you have followed this program long enough your taste buds do

change so the things you might " look forward to " today will be

different later on. I don't look forward to eating things like fruits,

ice cream, sugary foods, high carbs, etc. Instead I look forward to a

juicy steak with lots of butter, horse radish, mushrooms, onions, etc.

Now when I even look at some foods I cringe, because I know and

understand what they do to my body. Even healthy people should only

eat a maximum of 2 fruit servings a day, and only with plenty of good

fats to slow the release of fructose into the system. Fructose is one

of the worst sugars for the body because of how quickly it gets into

the bloodstream, spiking up insulin production, etc. For more

information about the dangers of fructose read articles at

www.mercola.com.

Fruits do not contain any special nutrients your body requires; all of

those nutrients are found in good meats, eggs and fats I recommend,

even if you didn't eat any carbs of any kind. However the food

industry has promoted fruits for vitamin C for eons, while many

vegetables contain much more vitamin C per weight than any fruits, i.e.

broccoli, peppers, and numerous others.

As you progress your cravings for any sugary foods, like fruits, will

dimimish.

When you add foods to the program, fruits would be the last ones to

consider. First, you could add higher carb veggies, like carrots or

avocados, and some seed-like grains like buckwheat, millet, quinoa,

brown rice. Again, adding foods should be gradual, just like starting

on this program is gradual.

The best, Bee

Hi Bee!

Thanks so much for the info. I think a big part of my problem with my

health is that i am a graduate student. The stress is UNREAL! The

candida must eat stress AND gummy bears! haha

I would like to have tests done to test my current levels of all

vitamins and minerals - Do you have this done once and awhile?

I've had high levels of cortisol and it was suspected that i had

cushing's syndrome (from past steroid use - for severe respiratory

infections in undergrad), but the levels weren't steadily high - so

they thought it was most likely due to stress and not a tumor - i test

every few months (urine and blood).

Can you just move in with me for a few months? This candida diet is

HARD. Especially for a vegetarian (of 13.5 years!)

Thanks again!

------Thanks Bee, I have already started noticing that a skillet full

of spinach with EVOO or butter with fresh garlic and a bit of sea salt

is a craving that makes me excited for dinner. Right along with CO and

onions with my morning eggs. Thank you for the food integration tips.
