Guest guest
What do you all do for sunblock? I know on Bee's site it says not to use sunblock, but I'm a little worried about that as I have had skin cancer removed in the past. I am a naturally very hot person so covering up with clothes is not an option (I tend to get heat stroke easily). I am taking fish oil now so hopefully that'll help, but I'm still a little scared of going out without sunblock.
Guest guest
Hey - As i am still new to the site - i haven't read everything, yet. I have not been able to use sunscreen for years - it irritates my skin. I have found this cool mineral powder (natural sunscreen) at sephora. I love it and recommend it. Good Luck! > What do you all do for sunblock? I know on Bee's site it says not to use sunblock, but I'm a little worried about that as I have had skin cancer removed in the past. Guest guest
Hello Lara, As several other members have pointed out, coconut oil is good to use. I also have used it successfully. Of course, it is best if your kids & DH would *gradually* increase their sun exposure, and also wear clothes to cover up if necessary. See some recommendations on sun exposure and skin care from Bee's website here: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn31.php I do want to point out that I am quite fair skinned, and occasionally got quite pink last summer although I never " burned. " This although I played in a number of Ultimate tournaments - even at a weekend beach tournament in the heat of the middle of the day. I hid under umbrellas and light coverings as much as possible, and wore a hat. In his book, Sugar Blues, Duffy reports that after he eliminated sugar from his diet he never suffered a sunburn again. Something to think about... The bottom line is if we are eating well and are smart about it, the sun is our friend Enjoy the season! andra, a group moderator anyone know what to look for in a safe sun block? my kids & DH burn pretty easy. thanks Lara
