I can see that you are going down further on the page for the breakdown of sugars/carbs while I was mainly relying on the first chart which shows 1 tsp. nutmeg as having 1 gram sugars (further down it shows a the total of .6 (this is confusing to me). It sounds like a very low amount of sugar but I do react easily. Your response helped me watch my inputting on the site more carefully. Guest guest
Hi Bee, My symptoms are mainly an immediate achy, tingly feeling in my nose followed by a crackling sound in my ear when I open my jaw wide - usually a headache follows. These are not die off symptoms for me - those are different. My alarm about the eggs was a response to not knowing they had any natural sugars in them. Now I'm understanding that it's impossible to exclude them entirely as that would cut everything out. In thinking all of this over and looking at my diet and stress levels right now, there are some other factors I believe are aggravating the yeast of late. For months I've been putting tomato paste (to help thicken) in the chili recipe instead of tomatoes and am realizing that it has more sugars in it - I've been having this meal several times a week so I'm thinking that may be having an impact? I was also having avocado every day - have stopped doing that. It's confusing to me because an avocado doesn't show up as having more natural sugars than a raw tomato and doesn't taste sweet....is it the whole thing of carbs turning into sugars in the body? My stress levels are very high due to circumstances that I am unable to change. I'm getting help in getting through them but the grief and trauma seem to make me more sensitive than ever to sugars. I do know about the relaxation techniques and they are good but difficult as the grief builds and rushes through me. The thing is, I have recently been betrayed by someone very close to me and my husband and I may have to foreclose on our home due to business failure. There are other major stresses as well. Within all this I'm feeling mild reactions to the Bee drink whereas for a year I didn't. With all the turmoil happening around me and inside me I'm having a difficult time figuring it all out. I'm going to make changes with the chili, eliminate the avocado and reduce the Bee drink spices a bit as I was taking more than the recipe called for anyway. I don't know if all this makes sense as I'm just not myself of late. Thanks for our input and support, Anita From: beeisbuzzing2003@... My goodness, you are having a very rough go of it! My heart goes out to you. Stress is a very big factor which depresses your immune system, and makes your body run more on the sympathetic nervous system instead of the parasympathetic system. When the sympathetic nervous system is active there a quickening of the pulse, increased blood pressure, constriction of blood vessels, decreased activity in bladder and bowel muscle, dilation of the pupils and a rise in blood sugar — preparing the body to react to a threat through " flight or fight " behaviour. Also less stomach acid is produced, and there is less activity in the digestive system, the opposite of what happens when the parasympathetic nervous system is active. On the other hand when the parasympathetic nervous system is active it produces the opposite responses to the sympathetic nervous system, i.e. pulse and blood pressure are normal, blood vessels relax, saliva and mucus production is increased, gastric juice is secreted and motility of the digestive tract is increased, digestion is increased, pupils relax, etc. Your plan to cut out some foods that are not on the diet is wise. During times of stress you have to be even more strict about the diet, and ensure you take all of the supplements. If the Egg Drink is causing symptoms you cannot handle, cut back on the coconut oil in it, even if you were able to tolerate more before. Because stress interferes with digestion also try to consume a mostly liquid diet, i.e. Bee's Raw Egg Drink, bone broths, soup, and even puree foods. Ensure you take enough hydrochloric acid, which probably needs to be increased when you are stressed due to lower stomach acid production. Ensure you are taking enough magnesium too. Also do frequent deep breathing exercises to switch your body over from running on its sympathetic nervous system - see articles on my website on how to do them. Also take Epsom Salt baths. Take out time to pamper yourself and shift your attention away from the stresses. The best, Bee

I'll stick with the egg drink (cutting back the CO in it is probably a good idea at this point)and start cooking up my pureed soup again. Cooked cauliflower whipped with butter and salt, pepper and sage is something I have several times a week..I find pureed foods vs. uncooked greens and such to be to be very comforting and right for me during times of high stress - the body really does have a wisdom of it's own if we listen... Two questions: Would the rise in blood sugar during stress be contributing to my reacting more to natural sugars? Also, how would the hydrocloric acid be helpful in my circumstances? I haven't been taking it because I haven't had digestive problems in general with the program. Does it help with a sluggish bowel? I am trying to take care of myself with the baths and not over thinking. I haven't been incorporating the deep breathing but am planning on looking it up today. I can hear your care and it's comforting. Gratefully, Anita

Two questions: Would the rise in blood sugar during stress be contributing to my reacting more to natural sugars? ==>I do not know that a rise in blood sugar is the factor, since there are many things to take into consideration when you are stressed. Also, how would the hydrocloric acid be helpful in my circumstances? ==>When stressed you are running on your sympathetic nervous system which basically shuts down digestive processes, including production of HCl. I haven't been taking it because I haven't had digestive problems in general with the program. Does it help with a sluggish bowel? ==>Yes. > I am trying to take care of myself with the baths and not over > thinking. Be sure to do it before you go to sleep at night. Bee

Guest guest
Edie, are you still getting the numbness? I have this strange set of symptoms where I will get air hunger, then my left ear/face get a numb feeling and then my left knee /leg starts to burn!! I have no warning when it will come but I can predict the pattern. It is so weird, I guess nothing is strange about natural healing though. Anything can happen. Although the air hunger is getting better. I have only been following Bees program for one month and I have 41 months to go. During the summer I lost 50 lbs in 2 months cause I couldn't eat. I basically lived on water and lemon. SO I became very malnourished. I think this also may have threw my thyroid in a tizzy too.
