Guest guest
Hello Bee.... Just a quick query - I am now on week 4 of your programme....5 tbsp of coconut oil per day and half of the supplements per day. No antifungals yet, apart from using garlic in cooking. I mean to persist with this programme as I have GOT to get well this time. Here is the query - I live by the protocol all week, but on a Saturday I go out with husband and it is sometimes difficult to stick to the diet completely.....I have meat and green veg when we have dinner out, but sometimes have a little bit of potato. Doesn't seem like much of a crime in the grand scheme of things, but by the next day, I can feel my skin on my face tingling like I'm going to get candida on it (again) plus itching other places. It seems like I am getting nowhere with eliminating the monster as it is just waiting like a tiger to pounce if I take my attention away from a totally pristine diet. If I carry on in this way ( having a very minimal " cheat " once a week) can I still make a recovery ? Or am I undoing all the hard work I've put in all week by having this small deviation from the programme? For the record, when I was very very seriously infected with candida 28 years ago (nobody knew what it was) I made quite a good rcovery by taking supplements and not eating sugar for 3 years, although I still ate bread and drank milk....mind you my body was a lot younger then ! No-one had heard of antifungals or probiotics where I came from....if only I'd known about your programme then I would have made a total reovery ....ah well, candida has saved me from becoming an alcoholic, a total junk food addict, and I look pretty young for my age - no junk food , booze etc because of my bad gut has preserved me, so maybe I should be thankful to candida ( in a way !) I will be very grateful for your views, Bee ! From Bebe

Good for you. > > Here is the query - I live by the protocol all week, but on a > Saturday I go out with husband and it is sometimes difficult to stick to the diet completely.....I have meat and green veg when we have dinner out, but sometimes have a little bit of potato. " The only way it is cured is by building up your immune system so it becomes strong enough to " make " candida change back to the friendly organism it is supposed to be in the body. Proper nutrients, the elimination of toxins and foods that feed candida are primary in your cure. > > If I carry on in this way ( having a very minimal " cheat " once a > week) can I still make a recovery ? One cheat doesn't eliminate all of your hard work since you are following the program more than 95% of the time. Think of it this way: Your body is getting the nutrients it requires most of the time, and a small cheat doesn't erase those nutrients and what they are doing for your body. I had a cheat once a week when I was on my candida program, and I was still able to cure it. > > For the record, when I was very very seriously infected with candida 28 years ago (nobody knew what it was) I made quite a good rcovery by taking supplements and not eating sugar for 3 years, although I still ate bread and drank milk....mind you my body was a lot younger then ! One year in the late 1970s I missed 25 days of work due to ulcers/candida, and I also had other numerous body malfunctions and symptoms. I had a vaginal yeast infection for over 25 years when I learned about candida. I had many cysts, mostly in my ovaries, but also one in my bladder that burst and caused a trip to emergency. Around 1971 my migraine headaches were so debilitating that when my daughter was 2 years old and I was a stay at home mom, my neighbor had to check on me frequently. I could be passed out on the couch from a migraine, not realize it, and my 2 year old running around without supervision. The best to you, Bee

Congrats! > Here is the query - I live by the protocol all week, but on a > Saturday I go out with husband and it is sometimes difficult to stick > to the diet completely.....I It is my understanding that we are able to cheat once a week and still progress on the program. I can't do that because it gives me terrible cravings but if you can control the cheating physically you would still be able to progress.
