Guest guest
Yesterday I got some suppliments in the mail, so around 4 I took them. One was Niacin. I had to take my son to an appt. and I decided to wait in the car with my 3yr old. All of the sudden my body started burning! I looked in the mirror and I was turning beet red. It was a full on flush. I burned like after a sun burn. I got home and looked at the bottle and I bought 1000mg instead of 50! HOLY COW! Well, I had to cook dinner, so I prepared the Chicken Chop Suey Recipe off of Bee's site. My digestion is poor, so I took 2 HCI at the beginning of the meal and 4 more during. About an hour after dinner I started having terrible pains under both sides of my ribs. I decided to dry brush (even though at this point my skin is STILL beet red) and soak in an epsom's salt bath. My abdomen is also bloated like I am about 4 months pregnant. When I got out and went to bed it I was really hurting. Mostly my liver and/or gallbladder. I made myself go to sleep. This morning I still feel bloated, crampy and sore in my rib cage region. My lymph nodes under my arms are also tender. Once it warms up outside I am going to jump on the trampoline. Any other thoughts? Thanks, in NC ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Niacin has strong antifungal properties! I believe you may be experiencing die-off. Maybe grind up the niacin to take it in much smaller doses (1000mg is huge! haha). Glad you had a nice flush though, that's some serious capillary detoxing right there! Guest guest
I'm not sure I'm right here but intuitively I don't think you should get on the trampoline or do anything else to bring on detox or die off just for a bit. I think it will only make you feel worse. You're supposed to do this slowly. The niacin has brought on a major rush, so I'd just back off abit for a short time. Let things settle down a bit. All the things you did after the niacin were more detoxing so it doesn't surprise me that you felt worse. I do applaud your tolerance and determination tho " . :~) On 30-Apr-08, at 7:03 AM, Sustar wrote: > Yesterday I got some suppliments in the mail, so > around 4 I took them. One was Niacin. Guest guest
Hi , Ouch! I hope it didn't last too much more than an hour. Niacin causes toxins which are stored in muscles and fatty tissues in the body to be released into the bloodstream. It also has the unusual effect of causing past radiation exposures to resurface. I have had old sunburn patterns reappear and go away when taking niacin. I saw someone who had worked as an X-ray tech get what looked like skin cancer from the niacin. The good thing is that if you keep taking it, the results will diminish and go away. Just don't take 1000 mg right at the start again. You could probably build up to that amount eventually with little or no effects. Zack On Wed, 30 Apr 2008, Sustar wrote: > Yesterday I got some suppliments in the mail, so > around 4 I took them. I bought 100mg not 50 and thouhgt I was taking 1/2 (25mg) when really 1/2=50mg. I sat bright red through my daugher's piano lesson. I broke it up into 4 pieces and just take 1/4 of the tablet now. Glad to know that some of the redness is die-off though AmyS

Any other thoughts? ==>Oh ! What a big mistake that was; not because it would harm you but because the flush was so intense. I can just imagine how awful the flush was. The flush actually is radiation from the sun or other sources plus toxins being released through the skin. When I did Hubbard's Purification Program in 1983 every bathing suit I had ever worn showed up on my skin, even the yellow wool one I wore when I was 5 years old. LOL! Rebounding on a trampoline is good, or dry skin brushing. This would be a good time to do a coffee enema to decongest and detoxify your liver and adrenals too. Also drinking raw ginger or parsley tea can help. I hope you are okay now. Guest guest
I am much better, thank you! My Mom let me get blistered in the sun as a kid unfortunately. --- Bee <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: > ==>Oh !
