Guest guest
Sally, I've been rebounding regularly for years. It has kept me in great shape, decreased my stress levels, aided in my digestion and just given me an overall felling of well-being. I would not be without it! Guest guest
I first learned of the rebounder on this list. God bless. I believe Alobar was the first one to mention it that I saw. I had been losing bone before I began the rebounder. I got my bone density test results back the other day. In the last year I gained 4.8% density in my lower spine and 3% in my hip. This is the second time I have had a reading of approximately the same increase. The rebounder also gives me great aerobic benefit at a much lower cost, less time, and greater convenience than other forms of exercise, not to mention the comfort and safety factor. Here's to Bruce Fife, who has saved my life not once, but again and again. Blessings, Nina Re: Rebounder Sally, I've been rebounding regularly for years. Guest guest
I'm not - however, I do it 20 minutes per day whenever I can. Nina Re: Rebounder Hi , How long/often do you rebound? Guest guest
Hi Pamela, I rebound every day, for about 30 minutes or more each session. There are days when I break it up into two or three shorter sessions and I find the benefits are good either way. I did have to work up to this, but it didn't take long. It's such a natural and easy movement, but you are getting a fabulous, total-body workout. I always feel so wonderful afterwards, energized and improved mood as well. Sometimes I feel sluggish in the mid afternoon, and it perks me right up. Hugs to you, On Nov 12, 2006, at 2:04 PM, Pamela wrote: > Hi , > > How long/often do you rebound? > > Is it something you worked up to? > > Love, > Pamela >
Guest guest
Hi, What kind of rebounder did you get and if I'm not being too nosy, what was the cost. I, too, have been thinking strongly about getting one. I am working with a chiropractor to resolve some spine issues and felt that, perhaps, the rebounder would be a good way to get more exercise. Thanks, Gloria sallyhffmn <sally.hoffman@...> wrote: Hi folks I was reading one of Bruce's books yesterday. He was very enthusiastic about these mini trampolines called rebounders. You can just use it for a minute or two several times a day and the results are accumulative. People that haven't exercised for years or who can hardly walk have had great results. Has anyone got one and what results did you see? I've bought so many exercise machines before, and none of them i could use for long without straining myself. I bought an invertor, but couldn't use it as i got neck pain. I just hope i haven't wasted my money yet again but if it works for me i'll let you know. Hi, I got a rebounder a couple of weeks ago. I've been off ill for about 3 months with what the doctor calls post-viral debility'. I'm quite limited in what I can do. Some days I'm actually bedbound, some I can get up and out briefly. I was quite worried about the lack of excercise and I'd also heard great things about rebounders for stimulating the lymph system. I got the Urban rebounder on ebay (where would I be without ebay delivering things :-) It was £38 and came with two workout DVDs. I only managed a workout once but try to do a few minutes whenever I can. I chose this model as it has a safety bar you can attach and adjust the height so you can hold on while rebounding. sometimes I need that as my balance an be erratic at times :-) I do think it's helping and I'm glad I got it. Kirsteen Chaos, confusion, disorder - my work here is done

I was so weak all the time but the doctor said there was nothing he could do and it had to run its course. Eventually i took very high doses of vit c and i think i actually felt the virus leaving me. I sweated profusely and felt terrible, then i got better. Maybe it was a coincidence but i'm sure the vit c forced it out the body. With regards to the rebounder, yes the ones with the bar are more expensive but i didn't think i needed that. I personally don't think anyone with back problems etc should do a workout routine as such. A few minutes here and there building the time up sounds more sensible to me. Guest guest
Hi Sally, Thanks for your response. Your suggestion about consulting with my chiropractor is a very good one. Do keep me posted on how you are doing--and good luck to you. Warmly, Gloria sallyhffmn <sally.hoffman@...> wrote: > Hi folks > I was reading one of Bruce's books yesterday. Guest guest
The Urban Rebounder is a good one at a reasonable price. I saw one at Sports Authority for $99.99. They also have packages for the Urban Rebounder on HSN - sometimes without shipping. Beverle
Guest guest
How much $$$? Nina RE: Rebounder Hi All, Thanks for all your input about the Rebounder. I ran across one called " Cellerciser " . He claims that it is the " best " and that you can do harm to your body by using the less expensive rebounders. And believe me, his is EXPENSIVE! He says that the difference is in the type of springs used. I cannot afford to do harm to myself--so, do I opt for the expensive or take a chance by buying something more reasonably priced. I would appreciate your input. I am learning so much from all of you. Many thanks. Warmly, Gloria -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
I believe they start at $325 and go up to around $500. On Nov 13, 2006, at 11:06 AM, Nina Moliver wrote: > How much $$$? > > Nina >
Guest guest
I posted a message on craigs list several months ago looking for a used one. I had 2 people contact me. I picked one up for $50 with 3 DVD's that was used about twice. You can also try Play it Again Sam as they get them in periodically. jingles > How much $$$? > > Nina >
Guest guest
The half-fold Cellerciser kit plus balance bar is $393.00, shipping is free. This is some of what they have to say about it: The Easy-Bounce Cellerciser® is not a hard bounce rebounder. Most rebounders use little tube springs that can cause nerve damage, knee problems and lower back pain. When a person alters the angle of their body, this can put them in a very compromised positioned potentially damaging them. The little tube springs generally stretch slightly and come to an abrupt jar at the end of the stretch. The jarring effect can hurt you, like it did my father. The sudden jar can also break the springs. Dr. Morton , in the Townsend Letter for Doctors, warned physicians to avoid the effects of these rebounders. They say that what makes theirs superior is the jumbo tapered barrel spring that he introduced some years ago. Gloria Nina Moliver <yoganina@...> wrote: How much $$$? Guest guest
I discovered that the one rebounder I have now and the Walmart ($30) one has a big difference. It did not have enough bounce so had a more jarring effect and also could make the ankles turn in because the mat was lower in the middle. I noticed a difference also after using it. The effects were different. Happiness, Ellen " -) > > No need to go all out, just pop in to you local sporting goods store, > less than $100.
