Today, I have one day to get back to thisstuff. I am going to get a couple of gallon glass jars with screw-onlids today. So here are my questions.1. Does it matter how long the veggies are left to soak in the vinegar,or do they start to go bad? If they are covered by the ACV - no... it doesn't matter.2. Can I just divide the stuff up between the two gallon jars, add thethings I didn't add before such as more garlic, cayenne, turmeric, etc.,and then pour sufficient vinegar into both jars? Yes.Or, alternatively, should I strain out what I have, soak the remainingingredients in vinegar for 2 weeks, and then combine it with the vinegarfrom the first batch? The thing that worries me about this second methodis determining the appropriate amount of vinegar for the end product. Go with your first idea - #2I Suzi What is a weed? Guest guest
Hi Terri, Been there. I usually just add whatever I need to later to the mash that's already been sitting, for up to one month in some cases. Since it is saturated with real vinegar, it is preserved for a goodly while.
