Systemic poison ivy?

Hi all,

My husband has broken out in rash. He says this happens every year,

with the spring/summer weather. He had a severe case of poison ivy as

a child, so bad that it was treated with steroids. He says every year

since then, the poison ivy flares up when things are blooming outside,

even if he hasn't been outdoors much. It's really making him

uncomfortable this year; I can see the rash all over, but it's

especially concentrated on his hands and fingers. I haven't had any

problems - I certainly haven't 'caught' it from touching him, not sure

if that's even possible.

I've had him putting coconut oil on his skin, and also eating more

coconut oil than normal, but is there anything else we can try? Has

anyone ever heard of such a condition as recurrent poison ivy? Any

advice or suggestions are welcome. Thanks so much!

==>Hi in Tennessee. Is it possible his rash flares up at this

time of year because he is getting more vitamin D from the sun which

helps healing/detoxifying or eating better because it is Spring?

In any case rashes are toxins are coming out through the skin, so I

doubt it is any kind of bug.

Hopefully he eats well and take supplements like you do. If not he

would be wise to start. He could handle this problem once and for

all if he did.

Coconut oil and other things will help alleviate the symptoms

somewhat, but it is obvious his body needs the proper nutrients to

build up his immune system so it will heal naturally; then the

problem may retrace for awhile but not every year on and on and on

like he's been experiencing.

You can also apply oil of oregano (it can be mixed 50/50 with olive

oil or coconut oil). He should also do everything he can to help his

body detoxify - see this article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/detox.php

Poison ivy can reoccur if the original symptoms were suppressed by

drugs, like your husband had. Drugs almost freeze the body at the

healing stage he was at when they were taken. I remember reading

there are about 5 Stages to healing (I don't have my files so I

cannot find it), and at each stage IF the natural healing process is

suppressed it will deepen the symptoms and cause many recurring

problems in future, even turning into a worse disease or condition.

Luv, Bee

,

If this rash is related to poison ivy, he needs to avoid mangos and

cashews until it clears, as they are both in the same family and can

aggravate symptoms.

Kathy

P.S. My mother has had a similar recurring rash in the spring/summer

without any known exposure. I suspected it indicated a need to detox.
