Hi Jeff

Thank you for the information on the castor oil.

There are different ways of making perfume. I usually take 2 cups of distilled water, 3 tablespoons vodka, and a combination of essential oils that I think would be nice. Combine the ingredients in a dark glass bottle, shake well, and let set for 12 hours before use.

Some combinations for the essential oils are,

5 drops sandalwood

10 drops bergamot

10 drops cassis

..................................

5 drops lavender

10 drops chamomile

10 drops valerian

....................................

5 drops everlasting

10 drops peony

10 drops sandalwood

......................................

Another perfume I make is a combination of:

4 drops sandalwood

4 drops musk

3 drops frankincense

and 2 teaspoons jojoba oil

Combine and mix well and let set for a few days before using.

I got all these recipes from www.pioneerthinking.com Nice site for a lot of things. Check it out.

Lynn

I've gotten mine in the past shipped from Liberty Natural Products. Unfortunately, they only sell wholesale. But if you have a business license, they're great, and super reasonable. That's where I get my cold pressed rosa mosquita rose hip seed oil also. Spectrum Chemical in Los Angeles area has the sulfated castor oil I'm sure.. 2 other names for this oil are sulphonated castor oil and turkey red oil. Or go to the local chemical store and order it. Probably cheaper that way. How do you make your perfume. I'm making a couple of different kinds this year for gifts also. Two different bases. Jeff
