I've seen my naturopath on Wednesday. I'm getting close to the end of

my detox program. (I'm in the third year of detoxing). Only 3 more

months to go. He measured my fungus level and he said 50 percent is

gone. Yippie. He said once all the toxins are cleared, fungus will be

gone too. So I've just now done the candida questionaire. The score is

79 - I've had 148 last year.

I'm so happy - needed to share that.

==>, the best test is Dr. Crook's Candida Questionnaire, since no

other tests can be conclusive for candida, nor for the numbers of

candida overgrowth that are present in the body.

tracker?

==>It is better to track your symptoms yourself, by writing in a

journal or diary, and noting when they increase, decrease or

disappear. That way you can look back and see how far you have

progressed based on your own symptoms and health problems. When you

have candida it interferes with memory and brain function, so writing

it down helps you a lot. Hopefully while you are on this program you

will learn enough so you are " in tune " with your own body, and can

make the right decisions in future too.

> this other guy had me buy 2 urinalyses. I mixed my urine with

something called indican and that was supposed to show the yeast in

my urine. It of course it read very high, but it could have been

total bs for all I know.

==>Indican (indoxyl sulfate) is produced by bacterial action on

tryptophan (an amino acid produced in the body from protein) in the

intestine. Most (indican) is eliminated in the feces while the

remainder is absorbed, detoxified and excreted as indican in the

urine, so that test is done by a laboratory.

However higher protein diets can interfere with accurate testing as

well as many other factors so I wouldn't rely on it for testing

candida, and certainly not if you add indican to your urine?? The

amount of indican present in the urine points to different kinds of

health problems.
