How did you identify the the spider bite as being from a Brown Recluse? They

blong to a class of spider which has a different number of eyes than a regular

spider. The class of spiders is known for the toxin potency and distructive

affects. Just wondering what the initial symptoms were?

parts. Then I switched to a 12 v power supply with a variac on the input side

and dropped it down to 6 volts. It is an analog non switching power supply.

That is what I am using on my shoulder. I have no scarring on my finger, just a

tiny knot where the bite was.

It had the bulls eye, the bite in the center with a red ring about it that

quickly turned black in the center. We compared it visually with images of

the bites from other sources. It was immistakable. Also, I later killed

one in the area where I had been working in my storage room. They are quite

distinct spiders and I live in an area where they are abundant.

Just got back from the doctor and seems I have been bitten by a brown

recluse spider. Yikes! She gave me a prescription for an antibiotic but

said that I could hold off a couple of days to see if it gets better by

itself. Anyway, I am just wondering if anyone has any advice. I am taking

1000 mg vitamin C every 1/2 hour and I am putting mustard packs on it. I

just wondered if anyone has any other suggestions. I am not tolerating

coconut oil on the diet. If I were further along, I would take oregano oil

but right now I am afraid it would cause too much die off and stress my

system too much.

Thanks,

Irene

Well, according to the doctor there isn't much you can do for it. The

antibiotic is really just in case there is also an infection. There is no

way to know for sure. But they just have to let the venom take its course

and hope the best. Anyway, if it gets worse I need to go back next week.

Thanks, I will add that to my list. I think I have a can of that somewhere.
