Guest guest
White distilled vinegar is the best home cleaning product, especially when paired with baking soda, which is a great " cleanser. " Try http://www.ecomall.com/greenshopping/coamerica.htm They have some good ones. Also, you can find anything on www.google.com! It is one of the best search engines!!! I use their dish soap, dishwasher soap and spot cleaner for laundry. I use Bon Ami or a vinegar solution for almost everything else - works great and I don't react to either. There is a website devoted to multiple chemically sensitive people with lists of products that many have used without reaction. It's debra@.... Debra Lynn Dodd started it after being debilitated for years with MCS. There's a newsletter you can sign up for that updates any new info on products and solutions people have found. Thought this might be useful to some. Anita

Guest guest
I use the vinegar to clean bathrooms/ windows or just about any surface I want to get rid of some germs. Borax - I add to my washing machine - I just added it to water to spring clean my walls with - I use it similar to any abrasive for cleaning the grime off my bathtub or even on my pots and pans. It is great for eliminating odors as well - I use it in the toilet bowl as well. From what I understand it is mostly naturally occurring minerals (forgive me if I'm wrong) but just try not to inhale any air born particles. With the vinegar - I also dilute it about half with water. The strong smell dissipates rather quickly and you don't get any chemical smells in the air. > > > > I use regular white vinegar and/or old fashioned Borax to clean just > > about everything in my house - I save a bundle of money, don't have > to > > worry about fragrances and my kids can help clean without me worrying > > about what's in the products. Guest guest
What do you use in the laundy machine to clean clothes in place of detergent? > Borax - I add to my washing machine - I just added it to water to would just 1/2 cup of borax be enough? Do you also use a detergent? Most natural detergents are expensive-I'm looking for cheap natural alternatives Chris

Guest guest
That's one alternative I haven't found yet. I use Seventh Generation detergent but try to use a small amount and add the borax to 'boost' the cleaning power. I also put some white vinegar in the rinse cycle. If you find an alternative for laundry detergent or dish soap I'd love to hear of it. julie > > What do you use in the laundy machine to clean clothes in place of > detergent? > > > Borax - I add to my washing machine - I just added it to water to > > would just 1/2 cup of borax be enough?
