Hi ,

Any abnormality is caused by poor and or imbalanced nutrition, too

many toxins, too much stress, etc. Proper nutrition will correct it.

Hopefully you are taking the correct amount of vitamin B complex,

along with " true " niacin.

----,

I am jumping out of my seat right now!!! I have noticed the same thing

for about a year now (the approx. time I have been battling candida) I

notice it mainly in the morning...but I also notice it throughout the

day. CRAZY- I thought it was just how my tongue is; but I guess not.

I will keep an eye on it to see how it changes the longer I am on the

program.

Amy, , et al...

Thanks for the response. I will add more on this later as am having a

terrible time with " Baseball Bat Gut " (as I call it - see other post).

Even water hurts to drink and bone broth did not go down well, so am

just stopping eating for now.

There are some more things that I am sure can be gleaned form this

tongue issue as I think for some Thyroid is behind it and Oriental

medicine has not been asleep to this either.

More when I can muster the Oooomph... Best to all, M

This tongue pattern is a classic diagnostic feature in Traditional

Chinese Medicine for what is called " Spleen Chi Deficiency. " Spleen chi

deficiency basically means poor digestion and transformation of food

into energy, and would also be related to your IBS symptoms (abdominal

pain). For example, here's a really good description of the entire

syndrome from a reputable website (with picture of tongue):

http://beyondwellbeing.com/ibs/qixu.shtml

This is not necessarily related to thyroid problems as another person

mentioned...but BOTH problems are related to diet and impaired

digestion. In particular, these problems can both stem from a food

sensitivity, and gluten is a very likely culprit. Dairy is another sure

culprit. Eliminate both from the diet and I would bet it improves.

Candida can also impair digestion and contribute to this symptom.

Instead of taking herbal supplements from China, you can do some

research (try researching " foods for spleen chi " or similar) to find out

what foods would be best. Mainly a focus on NT nutrition (like Bee's

diet) and lots of good green and bitter foods will be your best bet.

Betaine HCL should also help. You might also consider taking some

bitters before meals to help stimulate digestive function.

Good luck,
