When I go to the fast food places, Burger King, to be exact, I order a double

Whopper in a bowl. I also order a drink and can get the drink I prefer....if I

go inside. What with my husband needing to go to the hospital, on the other side

of the state, we have to stop at fast foods now and again. You can order

whatever toppings you wish, to go on the burger. I usually get the lettuce,

tomato, onion and mustard. Sometimes others are there but not often. You can

have-it-your-way because it is you that pays.

I tell them I have food allergies so they know that others have problems too. I

am allergic to wheat or grains at this point in my life. They destroy my

innards.

I just had a couple of days of camping at the women's retreat. I sure was

energetic for being the elder of the group. I caught a large mouth bass and it

jumped out of the bucket and back into the lake. That is a fish story that is

true.

I have a sunburn on my face and my pretty china container of coconut oil sure

helps my red face. I feel no pain this morning.

Happy burgering, Mz Violet

I don't eat fast food, but I sure do wonder what they put in those

patties. So I looked it up for the Whopper:

WHOPPER® PATTIES & HAMBURGER PATTIES: Beef (100% USDA inspected Ground

Beef), Encapsulated Salt (Salt, Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil),

Flavorings, Beef Fat, Beef Stock, Dextrose.

Not too bad, but that dextrose is definitely a sugar.

SUGAR IN A HAMBURGER!!! That is just wrong!!

It ticks me off that I can't even buy a hamburger while out! I have

taken to getting my " fast food " from stopping at the grocery store.

Otherwise I try to always have something packed just in case. Even if

it is just a can of herring or sardines.

How sad :(

Hi . Yes and here's the other ingredients that are bad:

1. Encapsulated salt which is regular table salt plus trans-fats

(hyrogenated vegetable oil, possibly soy, canola, safflower or others.

2. Flavorings which hides the additives that are neurotoxins such as

MSG-like chemicals.

What about frozen yogart? Is that ok for a treat from time to time?

Hi ,

I sure am glad you shared this. I thought the patties were *just* 100%

ground beef, without all the added garbage. Thanks for the heads up!

Hi Mindy. It is a cheat food, so only have a cheat once a week and eat

it within a 2 hour period of time to minimize its impact.

Hi, ,

I just recently read your post and became concerned since I rely on

fast food hamburger patties once or twice a week while I run my kids

around.

On the Burger King website http://www.bk.com/#menu=3,3,-1 the

ingredients for their Beef Patties are 100% Ground Beef; however,

their Steakhouse Angus Patty contains Beef, Encapsulated Salt (Salt,

Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil), Flavorings, Beef Fat, Beef

Stock, Dextrose.

So as long as we make sure we order the Beef Patties instead of the

Steakhouse Angus Patty we should be safe from those other toxic

ingredients.

Also, 's website says their Single patties contain ground beef

seasoned with salt. I haven't found the ingredients for Sonic patties

yet. I'll keep searching until I know my best options when I'm out

and about!

Take care,
