Karma,

Its funny you should ask... seeing as the other

product they sell its called KARMA CLEANSE. I've tried

them both and I think they're worth it even though

they are pricey. You should try them both!

Blessing,

Lina

  • 1 year later...

Should I be buying the sea salt that has been iodized? I gave up table

salt over a year ago and didn't realize until my ND told me I was

deficent and my thyroid was inflamed that I needed iodine and that it

isn't in my current salt.

I know you can get it from sea food and sea weed but with my being

pregnant I'm not comfortable eating sea food very often. Would this be

a good enough source for the time being?

Also, after she told me that I went out and got table salt...I had a

few spritzes on my hard boiled egg and got flush and my heart rate

went up...not for very long but enough to scare me.

Do you think that was from not having iodine for so long or that

something else was going on? I have to admit I'm a wee bit nervous

about eating salt with iodine in it now because of that reaction.

Thanks for the advice,

Nell

+++Hi Nell. No, you do not buy iodized salt because the ocean sea

salt I recommend contains iodine, and also iodine is in the diet.

Iodine is only required in " trace amounts " (tiny amounts) so you

don't want to get more than that; too much iodine is damaging to the

thyroid. Celtic ocean sea salt is very good (it's called Nature's

Cargo in Canada) or one from Brittany France, or Himalayan. The

larger crystals contain more minerals than fine ground. You can't

grind it in a regular grinder however; use a coffee grinder or a

mortar and pestal.

+++Table salt is poison so you probably reacted to the aluminum and

other junk in it, not the iodine. See this reference about table

salt: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal13.php#a29
